It's only 20 days left until my contract ends and DiGi is not attempting to keep me within their network. (I'm on the iDiGi plan)

Makes me wonder that they don't appreciate their customers?

Guess what, Maxis is luring loyal DiGi customers like us to the GREEN side. http://maxis.com.my/joinus/index.asp

I also got free silent upgrade from 1GB to 2GB.

However, I've seen fruitie's comment and I called in and upgraded my Ambassador plan to 3GB with 50% off.

Once your top up validity has expired or your credit reached zero, all you can do is receive incoming call and sms. All other services are barred, including data.

What I know is this:

Hotlink allow you to continue surfing (using a data subscription) even if your credit reached zero.

U Mobile Prepaid Broadband, no credit balance necessary to continue surfing, and so long as you subscribe before credit expiry, you can continue surfing after expiry for the remainder of the subscription term

http://www.u.com.my/faqs/u-broadband-prepaid <- see Qs 5, 6, 7 & 16

Different rules apply to U Mobile's UMI - believe that case is more like DiGi's practice.

For Unllimited Mobile Internet 18 or 28, no cannot:

What is Unlimited Mobile Internet?
Unlimited Mobile Internet is a prepaid subscription service for internet on your mobile phones.

Available in both RM18 and RM28. Both plan is valid for 30 days. Your USIM must remain active in order to enjoy this bundle.

For U Broadband, yes can:

Will I be able to use U Broadband if my credit validity has expired?
If your credit validity has expired, you will still be able to use U Broadband until the U Broadband validity expires.
