if you want better gaming solution, go for M17x. the price tag of the cheapest M17x is RM6000 (negotiable price). try ask viper88 for best price.

Buy after August.. as Intel Haswell processors coming out soon. Buying rightnow might be a waste as ivy bridge prices will go down after haswell comes.

Thinking of upgrading my M15X

Own a M17x R4. Just installed a 512GB SSD inside and the other bay is running a 1TB HDD. I don't game at all.

I upgraded to the most powerful processor, 16GB RAM, Nvidia 675, 512SSD and 1TB HDD, Killer Wireless, 1080p 3D display, didn't bother with the sound card as its always used with an external DAC which itself is half the cost of the laptop. Don't know much about computer hardware though.

I always wonder, why spend so much on gaming laptop. When you can get killer desktop and so-so laptop.

I use my Alienware to listen to music and to watch Blu Ray Concerts.

Don't have a desktop and use my Alienware as a portable/desktop but for true portables its the MBA and iPad.
