QUOTE(Everdying @ Oct 25 2012, 02:28 PM) so buy grey market if u want cheaper Wah can get for 13k?? So temptingg. I checked other forums and websites and some say the retail prices at ADs now are about RM18.5k. Discount less then 10%.depending which movement, the older one is just under rm10k with rubber strap. the newer one is still around rm13k. else again buy used, between rm7-9k+ depending which movement. |

QUOTE(jason111785 @ Oct 25 2012, 04:58 PM) Planning to get either a Tissot V8 T039.417.11.057.02 or Certina Podium Big Size Quartz C001.617.11.057.00... Both are subsidiary of SWATCH & Co. So behind it all, the movements i.e. the engines are basically from the same factory. Both also around the same price tag.. anyone using these? It all boils down to which one is more pleasing to your eyes. Xuzen |

Interesting to see the bulk of Swiss watches going to the HK market. The Chinese must be spending millions on watches there.

Guys, I need a cheap watch for work, probably below RM300. As I am G-Shock collector, I do not have a watch to match a formal wear. G-shock with formal wear is totally weird.
My current list: FOSSIL FS4458 ![]() TIMEX T2N956 ![]() Any recommendation ? Or should I top up to get Seiko instead ? |

I get the luxury tax part, having being based in China for a couple years now. But double that of the US? Also Japan, one of the top markets for luxury goods, is not even in there. I guess Seiko/Citizen/Casio must be doing a great job in their home market.HK has always been a top consumer of luxury goods be it designer bags or high end watches. QUOTE(Kaka23 @ Oct 26 2012, 05:28 PM) If only u know that all fashion related goods in hongkong are mostly cheaper compared to any other place u can find it out of hongkong.. a small tip to u guys.. if u go there for shopping.. anything with a 30% off u can treat it as same as our 50% off.. if they give 50% off.. it is equivalent to around 70% off in malaysia as their starting price is about 70%-80% of our retail price here.. this is what I've been told by a professional retailer.. so i was not surprise with the chart..This post has been edited by jackiewong: Oct 26 2012, 10:01 PM |
