i believe for people who are not watch collectors and hobbyist cant really see the difference in the movement type haha. the ceramic bezel is definitely nice though.
At that price point of an Omega, one really SHOULD care about the movements that are beating in their timepieces...expensive things those are
The tendency is always to believe that a new movement is better because it after all is the latest and assumed most hi-tech and improved...but what new movements do not have, is a proven track record.
We have some legendary movements from the 60s/70s/80s that have stood the test of time and some of them are still being used in todays hi-end watches... the JLC 920 & 478, Lemania 321(is it still used today?? hmmm), Zenith 3019 El-primero instantly come to mind... for testimonials of durability, accuracy and reliability... you'd also have to include various ETA movements (2890 - 2892) & Valjoux 7750 as special mention as well...(i wont be mentioning any movements from the "holy trinity" as i will be bound to go on all sorts of other tangents

)
but then again i don't suppose most of the big fish who own S600 Mercedes ever opened their car bonnets in their lives...but then many of them sort cannot be considered enthusiasts as well...
