I think its rare to have the words "oversized" and "dress watch" in the same sentence...
rclxub.gif

Dress watches are generally slimmer cases with small/medium diameters and little complications...some purists insist dress watches to be made from precious metals and paired with a leather strap but I feel such guidelines to be outdated....

But yea, back to size again, unless you have the wrist size of Shaquiel O'Niel anthing over 42mm cannot be considered dressy...

Some iconic dress watches are the Jeager LeCoultre Reverso, Patek Calatrava, Piaget Altiplano, A.Lange & Sohne Saxonia, Vacheron Patrimony...

P.S Ignore Bill Clinton with his Panerai/Suit combo (WRONG)

Oversized dress watch is such an oxymoron.

Don't even think about it... Stick with below 40mm.

maybe the person asking has a 9" wrist? in that case 42mm or below watches will look girly.

thx for the c&c guys. my wrist size is 7.6 inches icon_rolleyes.gif
currently i owned a 43mm ellese and edifice.. both look ok but not too small on my wrist. (im not fat or chubby btw). i prefer at least 50mm dress watch for my daily office use since wearing my weekend g-shock doesnt seems to be matched. hmm.gif

i bumped into invicta brand- such as sub noma 4,venom n etc. all is oversize 50mm above, but the watch is too thick since it's a diving watch.

last week saw the latest fossil nate(50mm) at pavillion.. what do u guys bout this brand?the price kinda cheap for battery operated. thx

u can fit those watches under your cuff?
I have a hard time fitting my 48mm Alpina Extreme and 44mm Zenith Defy under my cuff. I will not call them dress watches.

there are lots of invicta and swiss legend watches are are > 50mm. fossils are made in china with citizen quartz iirc. is quartz suppose to be expensive?

uboat are also dive watches.

ya.. that doesnt look like a dress watch. For me dress watch should be below 41mm and leather strap the best!

^I've seen one of the Aviator models being sold on MAS inflight shopping. Search on the net shows that it's a Russian brand, owned by Volmax.
http://aviatorwatch.ru/

Apparently they outsourced the manufacturing to a UK company.

IWC is the easy choice of those 3
If you have a smaller wrist then consider the IWC "Baby Pilot" (ref: 3717-01) (and save a few bucks in the process)
