World cup matches subscription is too expensive in Indonesia and free to air did not telecast these matches. That is why maybe they opt for astro dreambox

Another thing bro, astro wants to sell its In house to asian countries, Astro aruna,ria awani,celestial and a few more are in singapore already!

Isn't that a good thing? esp for aruna and ria awani? They would able to feature our artists overseas... but of course the main motivation for astro would be to earn more by creating their own branding and exclusives on their own channels so that only their channels would carry the content, similar thing like sky uk in house channels. In a way it is indeed a very good way to secure subscribers.

Another reason I can solely think of is, to reduce their load in censorship? Imagine a violent drama being played in WLT 3 times daily, they just need to edit one master copy and let it run... where else for those overseas channel, the fella gotta sit thru all of them and re-edit again and again lol.
But of course, I'd prefer to have TVB Jade HD fom HK direct telecast, I'd like to see them all in HD. Zhi Zhun is quite boring apart from the few TVB slots.

Too many K(orean)ulture on some Asstro music channel. Animax is the orly hope for me now.

What I heard so far, they will add in more HD channels after olympics. One of them might be MTV HD.. (same as the one in unifi) but...I hope not... cause the original feed doesn't look HD at all... might as well bring in [V]HD... that one.. looked as good as Fox Movies Premium HD, on every single music videos... thats really a steal!

looks like we gonna say goodbye to astro @15 ...it will ceases transmission by end of this month...hope there will be new channels ..i hope so

nowadays chat in tv not popular anymore..in this era, we use fb or twitter to make some new friends...good to us that channel gonna be ceased..hope there will be a new channel to put in family package

Better Astro make in-house MTV HD, with some Astro Hitz original programme. Calling it MTV Hitz HD.

I support that, all sms money making chat shld be banned , some youths are so addicted and beleive whatever is on the screen,channel 212 chat bar should also go for good.Looks like astro is desperate for space,infact channels 111 can go too

Nooooo it will be severely censored and they'll keep playing dodgy songs... and the selection of programming will be boring, they cant keep up with MTV/[V] featuring international artists with some news or upcoming plans/concerts... you won't see artists holding mtv/[v] mic and say hi and keep tuned to that channel etc lol... then you wont have fans sending in snail mails with creativity requesting for videos etc (somethin like mtv most wanted).

Worst of all they will have some stupid ugly banners covering half the screen just to display artist name, song title etc, unlike mtv being so simple now....

Those working in Hitz tv isn't working, they are just throwing stuff in to make the channel buzz, but it blows like rotten milk. Lol

Yes, I fully agree that channel 109 @ 15 is useless for me... I mean for old guys like me... but may be popular for teenagers and young adults who spent their parents money on chatting there without understanding how difficult it is to earn it. Hehe... wait till they left school to work. My sis locked the channels that she feels are not suitable for her children. Anyway, I have no right to "teach" any parents on how to bring up their children because I remained single due to my handicap.

Long-time Assteruk subscribers will remember the previous time when Assteruk have the game channel where people used premium priced sms to play the stupid game in that channel. Oh my dear god... paying RM 0.50 or RM 1 just to make a single move in the game !

Hehe... watching Titanic (Part 2) on Fox Premium Movies 433 now (07:28 pm 17-04-12). Missed this great 4 part mini-series previously. The 5.1 surround sound is great, vocals from the center channel is slightly over emphasized, rear surrounds are okay, channel separation between the main left and right is good but should be improved more. Yea... 5.1 surround audio quality depends on the HD source and should not always be the fault of Assteruk.

Anyway, in my opinion, about 70 to 80 % of the time, the picture and audio quality of Fox Premium Movies is one of the best. Hehe... I know others here will feel one or two others have the best quality so I do respect such opinions.

I am continuing watching the mini-series Titanic and waiting for Part 3 or 4 to hear only a few (I think) explosions and bass effects when the cruise liner begins to sink and breaks into two. Will see just how good is this mini-series HD source for LFE low bass from my sub-woofer speaker. Somehow the colour is a bit de-emphasized with light colours which are not so strong and vibrant when compared to the Titanic movie (1997) shown in cinemas long ago. The skin tone colours are okay. Maybe the producers want to project a a historical period atmosphere from 1912. Mmm... can't wait for the blu-ray release in Sept 2012.

Well... its the 100th year anniversary of the cruise liner tragedy so this is why Fox Premium Movie is showing the mini-series. This mini-series concentrated more on the "story" so I don't expect big bangs and booms action when compared to the 1997 James Cameron movie.
