Cheers, I've actually moved back the the UK but still have my astro account back in KL. Unbelievably, they are not allowed to broadcast live football at 3pm on a saturday here on telly, so I thought its probably worth setting up my astro account so that I can watch 3pm matches online (that is, when I'm not following Brighton around the country . God, I've missed watching live football!).

I'll try watching it from over here and let you know if it works .

Hi,

Anyone have a problem during to switch on the Astro Byond decoder? I have to turn on/off twice before the decoder display the channel number. The temp solution is always put it in standby mode. But I prefer to switch it off while not in use. Any idea?

Is it true the dish type doesnt matter?

Reason i ask is becos am living in the condo. I subscribed to HD eventho i know i wont get the HD channel just to get to use the HDMI connection (read it somewhere i need to subscribed the HD to be able to turn on the HDMI port).

Am currently using the B-yond decoder but why cant receive HD channel. Just blank.

I think it is.... am not sure. Plugged to the wall socket. I assume straight to the centralised dish....no?

Prove that Astro source was better than ESPN HD one. Or, the video compression...

But lets say if I changed to PVR decoder, can I still add on the HDD to add additional recording hours ?

anyone knows why my decoder cant show the signal strength and signal quality? both is 0. But I can view all HD channels. Funny.

I've the only PVR in my area & thus kinda lost...no one 2share notes abt my system.

The installer set up the Sat Dish by using only my neighbour's old 60cm dish as reference! Even the Sat Install'n setup was at No. 1 in list for Measat 3 & not 3A.

Someone even posted here that his installer used User Defined Settings for his Sat Settings...
Anyone can post wat those settings & values are? TQ.

u can keep u using old decoder (silver colour)
dont upgrade byond coz need pay RM20 waste u using CRT TV u most say i dont want astro byond i dont want HD RM20 like that u can keep old decoder

astro wants to migrate every subscriber to byond may be because they want to convert all channels to mpeg4 format, old decoder can only decode mpeg2 video

astro max users were allowed to upgrade to byond PVR free of charge and without adding extra RM20 HD service

old CRT tv can be connected to byond's composite video output

The question fow now is, is it within this year?
