Just curious. Is the IT Industry in Sg slowing down? I submitted my resume to monster.com.sg. Seems that I am only getting calls on Malaysian Jobs but not Singapore Jobs. Just curious only. Because normally I should get calls pertaining to Singapore Job since my resume is in monster.com.sg rather then in monster.com.my. I am a software developer by the way. Not that the opportunities in Malaysia are bad. I believe that the opportunities in Malaysia are just as good or even better then Singapore. Just that I have lost confidence in the economy here.

I think the best way is through job agents rite? Since most companies that advertised on Jobstreet, monster, etc would prefer candidates who are PRs or Citizens. Can anyone please introduce job agents to me?

To be honest, I think the likelyhood of getting an interview is higher if you go through agents. Well I am seriously looking for a job and can anyone suggest any job recruitment agency. mate, there are so many factors. Slowdown is definitely a yes. If I am the employer, I prefer to have them stay here and meet up with me. I wouldn't make international calls unless that candidate is like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. Remember, you have competitors from other countries as well. Supply and demand comes into play.

jobstreet.com.sg got lots of recruitment companies for you to contact. Also, note that they will get 3 good candidates for the interview. So, at times you may be loosing out if you travel long distance. But, no venture, no gain. Just hantam.

Yes. I agree that you can call them up. It is easier for sure.

Note that for those already working. They will also fish for your job. Meaning, they may call your boss and ask if they need someone to replace you. Careful ya.. lol. Some are very unprofessional.
