For taxes, just pay where ever you work la. In Sg, you can pay using installments GIRO. CNY can go back and check with Msian side. No need to do anything one lah. As long as you have your tax documents kept properly to proof that you are working in sg. IRS will send u a letter. No worry one la...

I've been working in sg for more than 20 years jor... after my aussie degree. Just to share some with you for those who are thinking of alternative experiences.

Always a good start to work in sg. Primary reason being good money, clean and safer. Makan is cheaper once you go back to Malaysia to relax. Stress is the same shit everywhere. Up to you how much you want to rub your bosses butt. Must take a degree in but rubbing. Diploma also can la... lol

Kids, safer for them also. Being a PR is a good thing but they are getting more discriminatory now days. More citizen kpkb now coz government helping foreigners better than locals. So, it is better to get the citizenship coz of the HDB housing benefits. Easy money and more priviledges.

Then later if you tak shiok and want to migrate, no problem. Sg passport also gives you easier path to move around either migrating or no VISA hassles. Or later can come back to malaysia to retire as 'second home'. Tekan the 'new' PM for citizenship back. Saying I bring money back ma... tak mau ka? then he will say ok ok.. or talk to Lim Guan Eng la... lol. Of course you only consider retirement after 55 or 60 lah. Have to work no matter what. Where can just shake legs one? Die younger.

The aim is to be happy and economically sound when you get old. Safety and health is very important.

Now, since I already kasi you good tips. When you come to sg, pls cari gua for badminton. I can also coach badminton so that people see you play like a Malaysian. lol. Boleh? hip hip Boleh!;) rclxms.gif

Enjoy the website below. You can also belanja me bakuteh in Malaysia next time. thumbup.gif

You can also campur me in facebook. Search for 'ex pow' for bincang bincang siembang siembang or macam macam... rclxub.gif

Am a degree holder la... so, ada atas sikit. Actually, it doesn't matter what you work as. As long as you happy. Happy? If not happy, just find another job. No point worrying. If both couple is sporean, more benefits lah. If wife is Msian, also got lubang to go back next time lor.. but normally your kids will not go back one lah. They already stuck and like it here. So, no harm if 1 or both also taking up citizenship. wink.gif

So, you a boleh kaki? Can you tell me you boleh?? lol. I didn't hear leh? LCW bolehed on sunday, so u boleh rite? lmao...

If you are a leng lui, or sui char bor, pls add me on facebook hor... search for 'ex pow'. Those not so leng one....errr aiyah, chinchai la.. add also la.. more the merrier.

I need to hantam lcw liao. Not very proactive in getting more advisor as a coaching staff for olympics. Not healthy. At least 'if' he have, and yet still loose, still ok ma. Else, people will say he or BAM got 'tidak apa' attitude. 1 million rm is too much to risk la.. betul ka?? apa ciam u cakap? wink.gif

Added on January 17, 2012, 1:22 pmBro,

No one ask you to stick with a single company ma.. correct? In your life time as an IT person, you will move at least 5 times. Take it from an experienced person la... Ada duit yang banyak, ambik la. Now days cant afford to be emotional to a company. If your boss is 'good' he/she will take care of you mah. This means u got a lousy boss lor. If your boss treat u badly, send an anonymous mail to his CEO or BOD. Kautim. See he dare to 'lansee'... teach him a lesson and don't let people slave your around.

Life boring or not it is up to you to find a boringless life. Go learn and play badminton mah. Network and find new Malaysian friends mah. 70% Malaysians here play badminton. U blind la.. sotong.. lol.

Come, help me pick shuttles. I good boss one. lol.

Oh, sg is a small country. 40 minutes both ends. Not like rawang to kajang.. wink.gif or klang to ampang wink.gif

Mod chong for jor.. I takut.

Actually, I have many malaysian friends here who work and study long distance at the same time. Some working in the biggest banks here and some in manufacturing. It is good to upgrade to at least a diploma or a degree. When you reach 40yo, in SG can be considered redundant to some companies here.

So, just work hard for first few years and earn as much as you can. I already paid off my 5 room HDB. If I come back to malaysia, I can shake legs. But, money is good. It is an addiction. Just work and enjoy life here. Nothing to loose.

In SG, as long as you work reasonably, you should be able to own your home in 10-15 years. Clear your CPF early so that you don't have to incur interest. Anyway, special account in CPF give 4% also. So, you decide which is better. For my case, once my CPF is gemuk, I clear it. So, I look more handsome mah.

If possible go for 5 rooms, unless if you feel you cannot afford, then go for 4 or 3 rooms. With 5 rooms, more spacious. Condos also smaller here. Like living in a pigeon hole. Also, better get citizenship as they have subsidy and grants. Nothing to loose coz your cpf is going to be tied up till you die. Unless you say, you won't work in sg anymore. East Malaysians can withdraw CPF tho.

Again, once you settle and have kids; you can consider yourself a sinkaporean la... cannot escape one lah. So many of my friends already converted. Life is good being a first class citizen. wink.gif icon_idea.gif

Worst come to worst, drive taxi here or be a security guard when you are old. Simple life. Boleh?? wink.gif

I can see many packing their bags liao... even mod and deodorant also. rclxms.gif

The pay can be negotiated one mah.. If you work hard, and the company is doing well; they should reward you one lah. No worries. I just got 3 months bonus shaking legs. See, I am making mod crazy here. lol.

And also, once you are not happy, just apply for another job lor. Most companies welcome Malaysian one la. Malaysians are known to be humble, hardworking and friendly. Same slang as locals. wink.gif Boleh malaysia?? wink.gif

Mod want to do spring cleaning on the forum la.. thats why need 3 days to shutdown server. lol. just kidding, just kidding.. aha.. I am more active on badminton forum la... tks. wink.gif

Yes, I agree a lot of them leave. Same goes to every country. I think Msia is more. rclxub.gif

This chap is lucky lor. He went off earlier, rclxms.gif so during that time more opportunities for jobs. Now, not so easy lah. But still not impossible if you got good experience and attitude.

Like I say, people come and go. wink.gif Is SG, if you are a Singaporean, you cannot die one lah; as long as you got legs and arms to do something. Now, the govt is more proactive in protecting their people. If you really bankrupt, they have ways to support you. Just see the MP. wink.gif

Damit, maybe I shd charge sg garmen for upselling them. lol. This is from experience perspective ya. No right or wrong about it. wink.gif thumbup.gif

As an advice. Dun simply quit your job and come to sg if you are still working in msia. Unless you are loaded kaki.

Always good to get at least a diploma or degree ready before you move. Else, every tom, d*** and harry (lenglui, batang and bulu) also can do it. Singapore will be flooded or drowned with Malaysian with badminton skills. lol. wink.gif

If you desparate and already quit, just apply for any low pay job first, then slowly move up from there. Must have confusius strategy ma... wink.gif

Happy Chinese New Year for all ya. Hope you all fatt fatt. In case I dun have time to come back. wink.gif

You can fb me for personal advice. I charge one cendol only. wink.gif drool.gif

Dun worry about CPF or PR fren. Get the job first. Small money if you only work for 3-5 years there. wink.gif

After working there more that 5 years. You will be hooked. Walk also high nose.. lol. Just kidding. I know u humble la...

Added on January 17, 2012, 10:02 pmFor q 1. goto hdb.gov.sg Not easy to rent whole unit.

for q 2. hdb start from 400-500 per room. And private is more expensive. Just double it easier. It can be anywhere. Oh, you can try long term hotels also. $4.5k boleh.

lol... panlai... I train lcw one mah.. so I have to take high pay lor... lmao.

Who else want?? Come come. U can sure beat lindan one.. lmao.

Not all head hunters are good. Now they hire more indians to do the job.

So, if you are competent and good, you should be able to find one.

Some luck factor also come into play. You need to follow up on what you have applied. Persistent matters coz you are not the only one applying. Everyone also want to come to sg. Imagine China and Indians also coming in. wink.gif

So, to keep yourself competitive against them, start low. wink.gif Everyone have to start somewhere. Hope this helps. Sabar la... if no sabar, I sepak u. lol. wink.gif

Actually IMO, JB one is better than Klang (I tried the Klang in Bandar Utama near Giza). This one got the white mushroom and claypot ginger chicken. Shiok! Very famous store. Old but good.

One day if you drive up, you can pass by my place in Yishun. I belanja and you provide transport. We gorge till no tomorrow and comeback with one big muscle. Set? wink.gif

Singapore bkt not as good. I tried the one at Rangoon road. Too spicey.
