I guess it's just covered under the 1 year warranty. And that the X10 will continue to be sold until the end of the year. In the meantime, i'm still enjoying it. biggrin.gif

It was nice of Fuji Malaysia to reply your email fast and with good news too. The few
times I called them with other problems, I was well served. Kudos to you Fuji Malaysia.

Lots of time to do the switch (and to see if it works)
Thanks Joseph Hahn for getting us the good news. nod.gif

Thank you very much for writing to us! We're regret for the inconvenience caused to you.

First, we found the latest firmware version 1.03 is working well to solved the "white disc" issue and satisfied most of the customers. However, the level of 'white disc' affect are only varies from sensor to sensor, even though the latest firmware upgraded. Does your camera's firmware upgraded to Version 1.03? If your camera had the latest firmware, but still encountered the "white disc' problem. We already take down your details into our archives, we'll make an appointment and inform you to receive your camera once the modified sensor has arrived to our service centre.

If there any enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service centre 603-55698388 ext:270. Your support and patronize are highly appreciated!

Thanks Joseph......I also spoke to the technician asking when new batch with new sensor will arrive but no details on that yet. Was informed, like as per the mail, not all will get this orb, is it true? I see some international forummer say no orb, kena bash teruk.... leaving aside international, any local here did not face any ORB issue.

As I dun own one yet, can someone show the simplest x10 setting and ask to take some specific light(street light can?) to see if got orb or not.

If not all kena even with latest firmware, I might want to dive to get one....afterall if mine got, just wait till May to get the sensor change.... brows.gif

Just got mine about a week back. Haven't noticed any orb turning out in my pics yet. Will try to take note of that first. Well, if we don't have the orb issue does it mean we can't replace the sensor?

anyone of you guys got the free casing when u bought yours? I just received mine a few days back from the seller as it was out of stock when I bought it, surprisingly mine was a brown unit. Was expecting a black one as the camera is back.

14Mxxxxx ... maybe M for Malaysia or Asia. Not sure because people in the US got 14Axxxxx for their serial number. They also say that there's probably a newer batch with 21Axxxxx serial number. Mine's 14M06xxx so over 6000 already but have a particularly bad orb problem.

But honestly no problem most of the time. icon_rolleyes.gif
