finally get rid of crackling / distored sound on my ng55sf when playing music/video
i disabled Atheros gigabit ethernet controller in device manager, after that crackling / distored sound never appear again, it seems like realtek software doesn't like Atheros =,=

i bought n55sf at oct 2011,
i forget since when this problem happened,
laptop will hang, and the screen shown 1-line 1-line like this,

user posted image

i need to press the shutdown button to off it,
when i open the laptop again, sometimes the sound like dragging...
and performed slow...

recently this problem happened more frequency,
i thought it's os problem, so i reformat-ed it yesterday,
who knows the problem happened again...!

so sifus, may i know what's the problem? HDD spoiled?

u might wanna send this unit back to service centre. This is hardware problem. Something wrong inside but HDD is less likely(if hdd problem u will get blue screen more frequently instead of this).

less likely GPU coz our GT555M does not involve in display at all. It only calculate, transfer the data thru HD3000 inside our processor and show it on screen. And at the moment u are not running games or what so won't be GT555M problem. This can be screen problem. But for sure u have to send it back to the service centre. Format won't help in this case smile.gif
