depends on your background program as well.n how many tabs are running. If basic web surfing, 3hours +i'd say. If multiple web browsing, less than that. N depends on your model of your laptop.

I can easily get close to 5 hours if I only surf without flash video, and on battery saver

Without battery saver it is less than 3 hours

Just a quick 1. A friend of mine is also using N55SF exactly like mine, he has this problem of, when he play games on battery although in High-Performance mode, the game is so sluggish as if hes on Integrated GPU.

I've checked to run on nVidia, also same thing. Already checked at power option, to put everything to go max when running on battery, also same thing.

Already checked for latest GPU driver, it seems that hes updated to the latest.

What could be the problem? Any ideas why is it happening?

Because when he plugged his adapter, all goes smoothly.

Max power 100% management... high performance setting on battery for graphic as well.

@volrath have u tried ur own N55SF with that game with ur battery? does it performs sluggish as well?

Im on his battery now., I tried launching WoW and HoN, everything went smoothly as if I'm on adapter (in fact, before this i never play games on battery) this is 1st time.

His games are still sluggishly slow, too pathetic to be on a N55SF...

I see, well my machine doesn't have NFS the run, Skyrim and the like... coz he tested on those games haha.. while my machine has WoW and HoN only

i suppose then all would be like mine..haha...the battery does not have enuf power like power supply i guess...

been using N45SF since day three of the launch, no cracking sound at all from the speaker til now

I think when it runs on battery, it just stuck with Intel Graphic.
Besides its not recommended to play game on battery since it kills the battery life spen

Have u guys tried before the Diablo 3 beta last week? It run very smooth with the background graphics though.
