Nope,I meant the router itself. I used my NAS to download so I don't use the built in download manager.

oh. ok ok..

i cant comment this yet as i just get the router yesterday and it had already being stress tested by me the whole night yesterday smile.gif

I will config up everything and just play with the BT alone and no more router config after that and see how long it will last.

Can you also check the log files whenever you crash? For me I will loose quite a substantial number of log loss.

August 22nd was the default date, and I had changed it when I first bought it (you can see I also changed the admin pass at this time). Thus the logs between when I changed the date to the time it crashed went kaput

ok, now i change my mind and expectation for Asus RT-N16 to "IT'S SUCK!" for "ITS LOOKS PROMISING!"

i just dump 2 torrent to it download manager, hibernate my PC and went shopping. 4hrs later i come back, for no reason i found that my PC had be waken up from hibernation, and my PC cant connect to the internet. I tried to ping to all valid external IPs, it can reply... my BT is still running, but the status of the Asus GUI shown Disconnected, but the light with the globe is on.

OK, did say i can ping to IPs, but I can't ping to URL!!! it will return the IP of 10.0.0.1 to what so ever site!!!

Hey, is this really the firmware problem or because of the torrent running on the background?? I never faced this problem even once with my DIR-615, which is being 24/7 for more than 3 months. and today it's the 2nd of router rebooting being perform!!

I do understand I will get a degraded through put if all the function is being, as this is a pro and cons for most of the higher ATM product as well, but to the extend of what I am facing is more than ridiculous!

and today is just the 2nd of my usage of ASUS RT-N16 and I had already had a very had experience on it.

I will give it a week for it to stable down, and if I am still no satisfy with it i will sell it off and get TP-LINK instead.

There's one question here, since there's 2 USB in HyppTV, can we actually use wifi receiver to connect it to the router?
Anyone actually tried before?

No, since it has it's own dedicated Vlan, which is configured manually to one of your router port

Wow you must have lots of cash changing routers every few weeks. Anyways I think BT built into router is not good at all. Get a real NAS to do that. The best is:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

SYNOLOGY. Get a 1-drive model and slide in a 2TB drive in there, not expensive and you get the awesome synology software. if you are serious about p2p without using your PC or a big box, get one of these babies.
AND you can use it as a web server, media stream...etc all that.

And the router, get a draytek next time ( http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2114099/+40 ), costly yes, but you get what you pay for, I have been using mine for weeks now since I bought it and its epic quality and stability, as in literally:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Those two should set you up nicely nod.gif

I feel TM will impose the cap soon AND throttle torrents for BIZ users. Remember what I said, this was too good to last for long! cry.gif

My intention of getting this router is because it have the function to do simple downloading without my PC on. I don't really need a NAS as i already had a media player and getting a NAS is too costly for me.

as for the router, actually i don't have much complain on DIR-615 till recently it giving some weird problem where I will be kicked out from bnet server when I have my DL and UL running on the max. I don't faced this during the first installation of UNIFI, and after I changed it to Asus RT-N16. Draytek is too costly, and I rarely gonna use a single function in there, that's why I will change to TPlink or just remain default to DIR-615.

** I am not that rich, as the router also i bought from a forumer after he claimed a 1-1 warranty, consider 2nd hand? and i will sell it out and get a TPlink which i might as save up a bit of my $. Anyway let see how it goes first.

Added on January 7, 2012, 11:22 amholy crap.. it's really crap!! now some of my download files gone missing from the Ext HDD!! WTF this asus rt-n16..

Doubt it. They could get into a lot of trouble if they back down on their agreement. Remember, Biz IS for Business. It's catered for organisation that uses a lot of connections and bandwith per month.

guys, just bought 1043ND to try out after amonth using 841N.. everything ok but the LAN speed..
if i direct LAN cable from PC to 1043ND, the speed can read 1gbps..
if using switch (the switch support 10/100/1000 speed), the speed only read 100..
but my sister PC also direct to 1043ND and the speed also 100.. the NIC support 10/100/1000 too.. weird huh?
