just got the tp link wr841n router but for some reason it just wouldn't work. My unifi username and password is correct but for some reason it is still "connecting".

is ur firmware have 2 option at the Network module?
1. PPPoE
2. Unifi Mode

if yes, click Unifi Mode again and save.. the router will reboot and hopefully reconnect back..
mine also like that, but the latest firmware that shop already flash in it has 2 option for PPPoE/Russia
1 for normal PPPoE and another 1 Unifi Mode.. its abit hard if i reboot the modem, i need to set to Unifi Mode back normally so that i can connected.. until yesterday, i flashed it to klseet firmware.. and no more need to reset the PPPoE Mode again..

but if u're using klseet firmware, i think theres some error or maybe at Unifi side problem?

Added on January 6, 2012, 10:17 amhaiya.. not lucky yesterday.. think of buying 1043ND yesterday at lowyat..
but end up my car got problem after went out from house and take a uturn at gombak..
big problem and big damage.. maybe today will go to lowyat to buy it..

I think it's not flashed properly. You confirm the unit you bought is 'said' to be unifi ready? Coz I previously gotten one unit but end up I can't make it work. I reflash manually only it works.

got lor.. the firmware version seems newer than klseet site and just try plug n play.. seems to be fine until the 19th days online i reboot the router and the system log shows the same like jimmy G logs..
so i found out its the PPPoE is the culprite because everytime i reboot the router, its defaultly set to standard PPPoE Mode.. not defaultly set to Unifi Mode..

some update on Asus RT-N16 from me.

Flashed it with asuswrt, configure unifi-home using my own range of ip and subnet. Everything is done according to klseet.com; but with the latest firmware compare to klseet site.

Failed to connect to internet. Off all equipment (BTU, Router, STB) for more than 10mins then ON back. Still fail!!

At first i thought it's the IP and subnet problem as i never use the default IP and subnet from the box.

Reset the box again, and this time i used back the original IP. Successfully connected to internet, IPTV and Phone all working. Change the IP back to my desire IP and subnet. Reboot the box, and the internet is up as well. Totally have no idea why the first setup I can't connect to the internet.

Tried BT, Print server and other fancy fancy stuff from the router.

Tried to access from outside (my office) to the router, BT and RDP my home PC. everything is working fine.

** 2 things i hate about it is that, the router can easily hang. I did some minor minor configure the router will just get hang/ not responding. and sometimes the router wouldn't save the configuration even i've press the apply button! the router hang more than 10 times during the setup configuration!! This is ridiculous!

What i can say, once the router is up and running stop messing around with the config!!

i just make a minor change few minutes ago from my office and it hang again!! now i can't access to the router and my BT!! -.-

OVERALL, quite satisfy with the performance of the router but not with the HANGed configuration part.

RT-N16_3.0.0.3_84.trx

now i needa wait for off office hour to go home and reset the router. damn...

previously my BT was running on max when the router hang...

i still can ping to the IP but cant access, not sure it's still running or not..

might be the firmware issue.

Getting constant hanging with my RT13U as well. The only reason I can think of are either overheating or it can't handle too much data as I have two NAS constantly exchanging data between each other

looks like asus is not that stable. Need more comment to verify on this. I get this instead of tplink is because of the standalone BT and Glan.

Hi bro's,

How do I create an account to view/pay my Unifi bills online? The signup form asks for 'Service Login' and always says the 'Customer Name' is wrong. Doesn't seem very user-friendly!

Is there a guide on this?

Thanks
