smile.gif i understand wht you mean, just tht my friends keep pestering me for liking this phone
but they don't really go and do customization for their android, just said that it's duo core :/
and they actually prefer ios too

no matter, thanks, I'll be content with my L800 when I have it (in 2 months..i think)

i went to a nokia store today and finally get my hands to try out the lumia 800 personally.

as an android user for such a long time, i personally love the metro ui which is very smooth n fast. everything seems to be fluid, no stutter, no hanging and best of all quick to launch for its apps.

maybe its time to change, i personally prefer its simplicity rather than a fully customizable OS which in d end gives me such a headache to use.

but still no budget for it, i'm eyeing my eyes on 800. maybe wait a couple of months till d price drop a bit tongue.gif

My SGS2 never crashes since i bought it on June 2011. Maybe you got the cheap android phone that's why it crashes. tongue.gif  But I do agree the WP7 on lumia 800 is very fluid & stable. Maybe in 1 more year time when they introduce WP8 it can beat Android already.

I guess that's why the SGS2 is so highly rated. Mine was just just a cheap Galaxy Ace and I must say it was a horrifying experience. Cheap shouldn't mean crash all the time. After all, even low end windows 7 desktops run nicely.

For other models, even my friend's SGS1 was laggy. So I guess the experience for every single model can be vastly different

I hear so many complaints from my friends SGS II like battery fast die, overheat issue, virtual keyboard very hard to type, very confusing dunno how to use and etc so depends on ppl.

Choose one that suits you. I can certainly tell you android not for me. I know how to use it but its not for me.

i do aware of that, lumia 800 is a single core device yet alr so smooth, it makes android device to shame tongue.gif

mine WT19i oso single core, but to have a smooth operation still need to install 3rd part launcher. stock jz ain't good enuff sweat.gif

oh man, i'm in love wif WP7 liao wub.gif

I've been customizing Windows Mobile for about 2 years and Android for 1 year. Was never satisfied with it. When WP7 came out, kept trying to imitate WP look on Android.

Finally gave up, just went and bought myself an Omnia7 when the price was cheap. Never looked back.

Uhh... you can't. WP7 is still kinda new, so it is lacking a lot of basic functionality like data tracking, full USSD starcode support, call blocking, bluetooth transfers and a few other things. However, it is rumoured that we'll see all these features for WP8 which should launch around the same time as windows 8.

Hehe, it's normal, they love their phone, sure they want to win. I believe there's no point to argue with them, but try to share and agree on each of the pros and cons.
e.g. Windows Phone user agree and like the customizable feature and freedom on Androids.
Android user agree and like the simplicity, easy to use, smoothness on Windows Phone, and especially the People Hub.

If only there is one OS that combine all the best together. Flexibility, Freedom, doesn't mean the OS need to be complicated. At the same time, simple doesn't mean it cannot become flexible and put limitation and restriction (there's no need to follow what iOS did).
Camera is a very powerful tool, last time, it's not easy to use and complicated, but look at nowadays, it's so simple and easy to use, just point and shoot. BUT, does it have to "REMOVE" functions/feature and put restrictions? No...
Why iOS needs to do that? And why should others follow iOS footsteps? It's just so wrong to me, personally.

MeeGo not really, MeeGo has ups and downs. Maemo is better, but it was abandon even more early, PR1.2 was the last update. MeeGo at least will have more updates, but still no match for Maemo.

Hi guys, Just bought a Lumia 800 yesterday for RM1400. Sold off my BB Bold 9790 for this and overall i think it is a great move.

Can we change the battery symbol to become like percentage or something?

I'm bullish on WP simply because I feel that the Metro-approach will allow it to win out on the apps front sooner or later.

True, right now many apps kind of suck, but those that are well-designed feel so much more fresh compared to the iOS/Android versions. Metro-style as an app imo really works, but a lot of developers aren't going the extra mile to differentiate.
