QUOTE(xess @ Feb 13 2012, 02:50 PM) For me, my rating for mobile OSes are as follows: My SGS2 never crashes since i bought it on June 2011. Maybe you got the cheap android phone that's why it crashes. 1. WP7 (Pros: Most fluid and stable) (Cons: Most incomplete and most restrictive) 2. iOS (Pros: Best ecosystem) (Cons: Apps can be unstable, integration is poor) 3. Android (Pros: Most customisable and capable and has most features) (Cons: Laggy, feels like beta software, UI feels like a random mishmash of stuff) 4. Symbian (Pros: It actually crashes less than Android) (Cons: Extremely laggy, unstable, unintuitive and confusing) |

QUOTE(edwinlcw @ Feb 13 2012, 04:11 PM) on white background also can notice it... I believe this should be due to the curvature nature of the screen glass. Nothing to be alarm with.it will be more obvious if the background is gray color or you adjust the brightness to lowest.. i think similar issue as the Galaxy S2 yellow tint ... btw.. my lumia 800 is already in the Nokia Care Center... they need at least 3 working days to get back to me on this issue.... damn... |

QUOTE(troy13th @ Feb 13 2012, 04:27 PM) okies thanks, really appreciate it Both are very different, can't really compare.i use these to counter them and show off people hub okay I know I'm very vain on that Windows Phone is about simplicity, smoothness, easy to use, stable, reliable; but it has many restriction and limitation (but if you're the user that doesn't care/bother about these, it won't bother you, just like iPhone users, most of them are fine with it). Android is about flexibility, power, customizations, little/no restrictions and limitations, freedom. People who likes to customize, wants freedom, flexibility, will prefer Android. With this, they may have to sacrifice on the response, smoothness, etc. BUT it doesn't mean it will not have, it depends on HOW the device is being use. Just like a sports car, if you buy a sports car and want to save fuel, you can drive slow like turtle, or you can utilize the power and sacrifice on fuel. A better example would of course be a PC, it depends how you use your PC, if you run many programs, obviously you may face issue like lag, etc. So, as above, it really depends which type you prefer, it's very much different. Those who like Android for it's customization, flexibility, freedom, will hate Windows Phone limitation, restriction, although they may like the smoothness and other features like People Hub. Too bad, there's still no one OS that has almost everything to date. Nokia could've done it with Maemo, but sadly, they killed it when it's still a baby. Being two very different category, it's hard to compare, you may be able to show the responsiveness, smoothness, the People Hub; but Android has the flexibility to customize, the freedom to browse their files, send files, play music, play videos, flash support, tons of browser selection, etc. So, both have it's pros and cons and suit different category of users. |
