ok, new query..

how to stop text input from correcting itself?
i.e ada, it's correcting to are; leh, to leg; shppin(which meant shopping), to shipping..
gosh, how to stop that other then change typing lang to MSL?

Settings > Keyboard > Typing Setting > click "press to change". Deselect that is not needed for typing.

Sorry... Just wondering..
You can't reply the *100# code or you can't send the code at all...
If you can't reply... You can combine the whole code at one go..

For example (i don't use hotlink prepaid right now... So this is just a rough sample..)
*100# --> Hotlink menu
2 --> Balance

Instead.. You can just type *100*2#
Just use *100*x*x*x# code..

thanks for the tip... but im selling off this phone already... its already posted up for sale..

Word of wisdom for me today. biggrin.gif

Still haven't getting my chance to test L800...yet. Guys, performance and stock app/ function wise, is it better than S2? More than 6 months already, S2 is still king of the hill; atleast to people who are not conscious enough with gadgets.

What's differentiate L800 from the rest of WinPho? I once get to hold HTC Hero (WP7.0 of course), its still not as 'rich' as other OSes. For practical-centric people, yes, it does text nicely, music player is nice, Metro is nice, Nokia Maps and Drive are stellar, but what about other 'unit selling point' that  Nokia offers that can make we say "Man, wanna buy WP phone? Samsung and HTC are rip off!! Go for Nokia!" kind of feeling?
*
In terms of OS, Nokia's Windows Phone have:
1. Nokia Drive - which is Nokia Exclusive
2. Contacts Transfer - another Nokia Exclusive, one can easily transfer contacts from any other device via bluetooth.

There isn't much; but I guess most people will decide based on:
1. Design
2. Specs
3. Price
4. Display?
5. Camera?
6. Build Quality?

Hmm.. I guess you an add it to the dictionary.

- open an app with text entry
- type 'leh' DO NOT PRESS space
- tap on the word 'leh'
- when it highlights notice on the auto correct bar there's a + beside the word, press the + to add it into the dictionary.

I am having a problem with my Nokia Lumia 800 where it auto disconnect from WiFi once the phone is in sleep/standby mode. I did not activate battery saver and I realised it because I have push email set up and it only notify me when I start using the phone. What could possibly be wrong?

This is normal, the wifi will cut-off automatically when it is on standby mode and I hope that Nokia will update the firmware so that wifi still connected in standby mode

I think if you using data connection, it will continuously connected?

Rather funny that you say practical, because practical people would easily choose Android or iPhone that are more feature-rich and practical at this point of time. biggrin.gif

But really, Nokia's 'whole package' is pretty much the selling point against other WP7. Performance are roughly equal between all WP so 'price-performance' is really only Lumia 710.

The main reason to go Nokia is because Nokia is obviously the 'premier WP partner' for Microsoft, so the best things from Microsoft and Nokia will both end up in WP first than anyone else. rclxms.gif

Someone over at Microsoft Malaysia needs to be slapped for not seriously telling Microsoft Global that Malaysia has multi-language needs.

I think their operation mode is to select the 'primary' language for interaction in the country. Which actually for Malaysia we have many so called primary languages.

Sometime in 2012.

But personally? I think in March when Tango update comes.

Currently Nokia is focused on delivering camera improvement updates first, most likely before Tango comes out. I think it's likely that Nokia will just bundle Tango update + enable Hotspot in one package together.
