I am having a problem with my Nokia Lumia 800 where it auto disconnect from WiFi once the phone is in sleep/standby mode. I did not activate battery saver and I realised it because I have push email set up and it only notify me when I start using the phone. What could possibly be wrong?

I am rather baffled why such thing happens, too. Hopefully it will be fixed asap.

My phone's region is set to MY but my currency is Euro. pfft.

Rather funny that you say practical, because practical people would easily choose Android or iPhone that are more feature-rich and practical at this point of time.  biggrin.gif

But really, Nokia's 'whole package' is pretty much the selling point against other WP7. Performance are roughly equal between all WP so 'price-performance' is really only Lumia 710.

The main reason to go Nokia is because Nokia is obviously the 'premier WP partner' for Microsoft, so the best things from Microsoft and Nokia will both end up in WP first than anyone else.  rclxms.gif
But Malaysia don't get Nokia Music...  cry.gif  cry.gif

Damn record label agreements.

for me practical means if you can't have this and that, you can still live happily with it. i didn't like android since it's battery are not sufficient to my needs.

hoping that Microsoft will churn out update much more faster. Since probably middle of this year Apollo will go head to head with Jelly Bean. rclxms.gif

anyway, by holding 'back' button, you can see what's in the background...is this consider as multitasking, like symbian? or those apps in the background will close automatically?

From what I read at GSMarena, it is not consider as multi tasking. The phone will automatically 'hides' the process when not in use, and when the limit is reached, the first task in will be terminated.

i think is something similar to what iOS did.. it will pause the app when touch the start button.. and when you launch back the app.. then the app will continue from where is pause.. correct me if i'm wrong...

Starting to feel that there may be some real battery issues in the Lumia after all, even after the fix.

I feel that the battery discharges itself rather quickly even in standby. Which was strange since the first few days had really low consumption overnight.

On for 4 hours plus out of box, no SIM Card, WiFi off.
Play with some camera and viewing pictures.
Current Battery Level: 90%.

When I first turn on, I did adjust the display to low, then back to auto. I notice funny behavior on the "switch", I can slide the swith half way? After I let go, it stuck there for a moment, then slide all the way to the end.... Funny. At first I thought can turn "partially" on, LoL!
