Just got my Lumia 800 from Nokia Store KLCC.. Just a simple question;
How to turn off auto update and auto synch for FB, Gmail and Twitter whenever there's no Wifi around. Because I want to use my device just like a Wifi-only device. No need data plan coz I have BB for that. And I don't want the phone use data from my prepaid for those features.
Thanks.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 19 2012, 11:29 PM) Setting > mobile network > Data connection > off Tried it. But that will disable me from receiving MMS in real-time. Although, it does send me an SMS that there's an MMS pending.. Any other way?

QUOTE(Nightengale @ Feb 20 2012, 10:21 AM) Someone over at Microsoft Malaysia needs to be slapped for not seriously telling Microsoft Global that Malaysia has multi-language needs. Meaning that there's no English option for Malaysia region?

QUOTE(pikacu @ Feb 20 2012, 03:50 PM) doens't count anyway, by holding 'back' button, you can see what's in the background...is this consider as multitasking, like symbian? or those apps in the background will close automatically? From what I read at GSMarena, it is not consider as multi tasking. The phone will automatically 'hides' the process when not in use, and when the limit is reached, the first task in will be terminated.

Yesterday I opened a song, then I wanna close it. So I paused the song (since there's no STOP icon), and press <-- all the way to the main menu.
But the 'now playing' song is still shown on wallpaper screen (but paused of course) whenever I press the volume rocker. How to kill the music player?

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Feb 21 2012, 09:31 AM) Never really know the details of the Windows Phone. I always feel there's something with the 2D-ish UI, the buttons, etc. Then yesterday, I found a bug, which revealed the mystery of the "feeling"... It seems the UI is pretty much web based, that explains a lot. I like the 2D-ish UI a lot.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 21 2012, 11:34 AM) That's why ask yourself what's your needs of your phone. For me I don't play game on my phone I have a pc that capable to output 5.1 surround speaker and support direct x11 so I don't play game on my phone, I need it for th integration, fast response to email, Facebook, twitter and updates. So wp7 more of my choice. Agreed. Same situation as yours. Since my Blackberry seems too bland in doing all those things.

QUOTE(Fazri9900 @ Feb 21 2012, 05:07 PM) I noticed that if we use dark background, it will help to extent the battery life...no need to recharge frequently ratther than using light background... That's an interesting finding.

Is the Wifi got "disconnected" or "put to sleep mode" everytime we lock the phone? Because whenever I unlock it, there's Wifi icon animation at the top. It's a good thing though..

Is there any way to STOP the music playback? Because When I open Zune, it shows the song is being paused. NVM. Found it. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphon...4b-5f70ba8d0624http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/winphon...04-417829c8a329This post has been edited by matmoto5125: Feb 22 2012, 12:30 PM
