interesting thing to note that the phone they showed was essentially an N9 running WP7 right?
The N9 doesn't have front buttons, you need 3 for WP7 (back, windows, search)
then on a site that posted specs, the video resolution of the screen is 480x854 that's 54 pixels taller than the standard 480x800... I just hope it's not being used to display some soft buttons.
In any case I'd have to say the front cover design should be different for the final unit.

QUOTE(g5sim @ Jun 24 2011, 06:12 PM) hmm true also, it is mandatory to have the three buttons on a WP7 phone. One one thing about the N9 is, there is no physical button. The additional pixels maybe for the placement of three touchscreen buttons.. hmmm I sure hope that is NOT the case, it would mean the device would waste cycles drawing the touch buttons there

My philosophy is Friends don't let friends get HTC phones.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Oct 3 2011, 02:38 AM) Hmm, you seems to had posted more than 4 posts(I just came to this subforum recently(<10days) to defame HTC devices. Not sure whether you are unlucky or others are lucky. I tried over 3 HTC products and 2 of them works over 2 years(and still working). The 3rd one is my mozart now which also run at maximum smoothness(or may be 98% ). I suggest you give them another try or go claim your warranty as most of us here just got well with our HTC, wondering why you being so ''unlucky''... P/S: Dont flame me pls, I am just ''advising'' not forcing you. My own devices were fine, and my main problem with them is their INCONSISTENCY of quality. First batch ok, next batch not so ok, next batch hey.. ok agian.. etc. etc. I have been a dedicated HTC owner since the TANAGER, so I know where they came from, and after all these years they STILL haven't bucked up yet. Your HTC works fine for you, that's great. But guess what happens when you recommend it to your friends and THEIR batch ends up being the shitz.? Sure.. he can claim warranty, but tell me.. would YOU want to be without your phone for a few days?

What's interesting to me is how their connector doors seem to work.

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Jan 26 2012, 02:27 PM) My wishlist for Windows Phone - Copy music without using Zune. Use open standard like USB or even Microsoft's MTP. I mean even iPhone supports MTP, a Microsoft format, to transfer images. - Support more media formats natively. Since Microsoft likes to boast that it integrates a lot of built-in funtionality, they should make Windows Phone a media powerhouse that can play almost any format (OGG, MP3, FLV, WAV, AVI). - I want more customization options for the homescreen at least. Otherwise my phone doesn't feel as personal, since it's like everybody else's phone. I mean even my iPhone 4 lets me change wallpaper. - Free and open SDK. Microsoft wants more developers? They should give an Express version of their compiler/SDK for free (like their desktop Windows) and let people write and install their own applications on their phone without needing jailbreak/chevron. MTP can be enabled on PCs with Zune installed, though I only use it to copy videos and not music. As for the video support... well you can take a look over at my page and see. http://www.marauderzstuff.com/PermaLink,gu...9d349bc9c9.aspxThe Windows Phone Developement tools ARE FREE. Just like the iPhone, it's only when you need to deploy to physical devices for testing that you need to pay and get registered.

It'll be a nice surprise if we see Marketplace launching at the same time, but I'm gonna say there's no way that's gonna happen!

Carrier biling information sounds weird, shouldn't be enabled just like that without MAlaysia being a valid country. Oh well.. we'll see.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Feb 6 2012, 09:34 PM) question is simple how does it know when there is a new mail? from my understanding its interval so when it sync there no mail and when there mail it only sync. Only blackberry have the instantly push If you connect to a standard Email server, the refresh will be interval based. If you connect to a server which using the proper Exchange sync method, then you get Push notification.

The Radar's a pretty good device. You just need to ask yourself do you want to give up the front camera for more storage space, 8MP camera and a nicer screen.
Do note that Lumia's still can't perform internet sharing though.

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Feb 10 2012, 05:41 PM) Does anybody know if Nokia 800 (or whatever the latest version of Windows Phone is) has universal search? E.g. iOS/Android I can search all my contacts/notes/email/messages from 1 search box. Nope, not yet.
