today my friends and me went to HTC shop, thinking of selling my magenta lumia and switchin to HTC Sensation XE... quite nice phone, got a widget like people hub, also can change sms tone!!!

Also no need to use zune liao... I think HTC more suitable for simple person like me...

I don't think that's right.. 50% charge used up in 7 hours? When the phone has been on standby for almost all of the 7 hours?  When the screen has been turned off?

I mean look at the specs on the webpage http://www.nokia.com/my-en/products/phone/...specifications/

Hmm..on average my phone drop 1% in every 2 hours on standby mode in 3G network.

That's not how you justify the battery life different people different pattern of usage you didn't specify clear like is your phone continuing feeding updates? Any apps running? Have u update the battery fix by Nokia for lumia? What type charger did u use? And etc

Added on February 17, 2012, 12:04 pm

Thanks for the updates I know but that time really no choice lok

Sure, different patterns of usage.. I'm asleep.. I'm not touching my phone - sure it's updating my mail feeds but seriously, it's supposed to use 50% in 7 hours? I'm not that naive to take that 335hrs 3G standby time at face value. In fact at this point I'd be happy to take 20% of that advertised standby time. Heck maybe even 10%.

If you bothered to read my earlier post, you would have seen that I'm already using the latest firmware and if you've not been following the news then yes, it does include the battery fix. Phone is scheduled to refresh emails every 30 mins, not that it matters since I'm asleep. Phone task manager has no apps running in the background. Nokia charger that came with the phone.. i have no idea what "and etc" means nor do i think it's relevant.

I see you've not got the lumia 800 yet. That's fine - I'm trying really hard to love the phone, it's features/feel is great. What's stopping me is the unreasonable battery consumption.

Thanks, that's the type of information that i wanted to hear, whether the power drain was normal or not in order to decide if i should take my phone to nokia care.

said earlier, you might disappointed at wp7 but you wont regret having wp7, if you are going for android you will surely regret.

Seriously there is NO way to sync all the google contact's multiple hp number to this phone? it really screw up my contacts this time...

Btw, is there any update for the battery fix I need to do? I connect to zune.. and said it is up to date... battery life pretty bad. I hope can do anything just to save the battery a little bit more...

it's easier to make it low-end than it is to make it high-end.

Low-end just chop-chop-chop features. And make it more lean. Good thing is that the hardware for gen-1 level WP will probably get even cheaper soon, and they're going even lower than that. Won't be surprised if I see RM300-500 if they really push it. tongue.gif

High-end must add features and all that. Just hope they realise they must do much more than be equal to iOS/Android. I mean, Chrome for Android is coming soon and that browser interface idea is awesome compared to IE Tap-Tap-Tap -Tab/Favourites which is slow. sad.gif

Is there any app or built-in function in the OS which let you view the battery usage like Android? e.g. what's consuming the battery.

Well you can dial ##634# to enable nokia's diagnostic tool, however it doesn't really tell you what's consuming the power, only the amount of power the phone is consuming.

No, you'll need to create another Live ID and attach it to US or SG.

Is 3G on? How's the signal strength where you leave ur phone when u sleep?

we can see if data retrieval is eating power by turning off data connection before you sleep and see.
