Still prefer training at cf Wangsa walk. Did you check out the lockers in uni gym ?damn, its really small and I bet you can't put in your college bag and a gym bag together. If I'm driving to uni then I could leave it in my car but sadly I'm not.

It's true.

Never, ever carry anything heavy.

In fact, make everyone else carry your stuff for you. You don't wanna be a manlet.

There's this trick to grow taller actually, you tie a noose around your neck and just hang from a rope. Works wonders for your height. This exercise has to be done single-set-to-failure. HIT height enhancing technique, yo!

Added on April 7, 2012, 8:00 pmOh btw, all you college guys ITT.

Do you guys wear jeans to college or something?

Squats make fitting into jeans impossible! It seems to me that you'd either end up buying fatass jeans or spend an eternity just putting them on.

shocking.gif Anything heavy also can't??? So if use strength but not carrying heavy things ok or not? Like push-ups.
Regarding the height, stretching work as well right?

My god man, learn to spot sarcasm. And stunted growth is usually related to damage to the epiphyseal plates or growth plates which are located at the ends of the long bones in your body. When they fuse, your growth effectively stops. This will happen either by natural means, ie 'once you stop growing' as it's generally called, or if they're damaged (usually by high impact) and end up fusing prematurely. With weight training, there's hardly any impact involved as compared to contact sports like football, unless you throw a dumbbell up in the air and try to 'catch' it with your head, but why would you do that, right?

The only "problem" per se, with weight training is you can get injured. (But then again, don't you think this is the same for any sort of sport?) Though, the only way you injure yourself is by performing an exercise with poor form and with too much weight, in which case the injury would be caused by the stupidity of the person, and not the weights themselves. So really, there's not much of a real problem with weights to begin with.

My jeans are a couple waist-sizes larger than they should be so I can get them above my knees. Though they do stay up, thanks to my ass (THANK YOU, SQUATS), I still use a belt. cool2.gif

In order to slim down the tummy first must lose the tummy by jogging or do some cardio before workout like sit up?

If your football weighs something like 100lbs. But if that was the case, stunted growth would be the least of your worries.

The bottom line is, weights won't stun your growth unless you somehow manage to whack your growth plates really hard. Everything you do has a risk involved. There is risk of injury in all sports, weights included, but you can minimize this risk by lifting properly.

Fat loss comes down to your diet. Cardio can help 'burn' some extra calories to maintain a caloric deficit and you can train your abdominals with exercises but the main thing is to lower your body fat.

98lbs, give or take. dont do a header its gonna affect your growth.

and aztec, i have no idea how u gonna fit into skinnies, seriously. all my pants are loose fitted and they are slightly bigger than my actual waist size

and i speak from experience, i have tried skinnies at fitting rooms. i could not sit down wearing skinnies. not saying my legs are huge, they're proportionate but DAMN those skinnies are f***in uncomfortable to say the least.

Okay since my sense humour isn't getting across, I'll keep it short.

Stop worrying so much. Play your sports. Lift weights with proper form. Eat well. Sleep well.

would like to ask whether anyone knows how to do lat pulldown that's heavier than bw (if a spotter is not available). currently trying to use dip belt with weight, but the overall process is tedious and not so comfy.

Your pulldown machine doesn't have the padded bar things to put your thighs under to hold you in place?
