Talking about legs, I think I kinda sprained my ankle yesterday while playing futsal. Heard this 'cracking' sound when it happened. Any fast healing method? Its damn painful now...
*
I've experienced this a whole lot of times. Just rest your leg till it is fully recovered. Elevate your legs as often as possible to decrease the swelling. Make sure you don't do anything till you're fully recovered or you risk making it worse or increase the chances of future injuries. I can't play basketball anymore because of this... sob sob...

QUOTE(raul88 @ Mar 13 2012, 09:35 AM)
regarding breathing during workout..
for bench press breath in while push upward and breath out while lowering down the bar

what about squat and deadlift?
*
Terbalik lah.
General rule is to breath out when you're lifting or when you're using force.
Some people recommend holding your breath while lifting though (during the movement lah, breath after the strain/stress), for stability.
Your choice.

i wonder why my doms always last very long. it would last 5-7 days.. -.-" ..
*
I think this should only happen if you haven't been working out in a long time and then you suddenly workout with high intensity.
If you workout like 2-3 times a week, your DOMS should only be about 24-72hrs.
Pretty sure that adequate nutrients after working out (protein, micronutrients) would help facilitate your recovery too.

I had a shoulder training yesterday night, then surf LYN with my wife beside, then came your pic(Posting Pic thread)

my wife say if I were to get shoulder like you, i wont touch her for 3months... doh.gif
*
Tell her its a guy thing.
And if you have shoulders like him you can erm 'protect' her.
And in all seriousness, it might help in bed.
Sad but it's another point to the fact that most ladies don't like really buff men.

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Mar 14 2012, 07:00 PM)
I dont get you all sometimes. Why should anyone else dictate what you look like?
*
It's personal of course.
I myself would like to look good enough that people would admire me instead of well, the opposite.
Some people want to be really big and all and don't give a damn what others think of them, that's great.
Others want other people to like how they look because they like that and that's great too.
I personally find satisfaction in looking good for my girl so I'm working towards that and nothing more.

Trying to achieve a phsique thats pleasing for someone is all fine and dandy if yourself is happy with it.

I'm definitely fine with getting a 'toned' body and personally am not crazy motivated like you guys to get as big as you can ( notworthy.gif ).

Met girls who prefer chubby or thin but they would not say no to toned heheh.

QUOTE(Aztec @ Mar 14 2012, 10:24 PM)
just lift for ur self and ur own confidence..if ur doing it for external factors like women then ur doing it wrong son
*
Gotta disagree with this.
I think it's perfectly ok to do it for external factors.
But of course doing for oneself and ones own confidence is perfectly ok too.

Yeah. But sometimes it's lighter depending on where it was actually purchased.
Many cases where the cheaper ones are lighter and bend easier.

QUOTE(thelion4ever @ Mar 16 2012, 01:07 AM)
Eh guys wanna ask your opinion. Which is cheaper based on proteins per ringgit, Normal protein source(beef,eggs,chicken) or whey protein ?
*
My own calculations and observations:
1 scoop of X brand whey (rm280 per 4.5kg) = 24grams protein
=~ RM2 per scoop

100grams chicken = ~24-28grams protein
in supermarket, chic breast 100grams = ~rm1++
so chicken should be cheaper

Eggs, 1 medium egg = 6g protein
24g protein = 4 eggs = ~rm1++

BUT soft tofu 300grams = RM1
100g has 8g protein so 24g protein = RM1 for soft tofu

Sorry about the messy calculations but basically:

24g protein from chicken = RM 1++
24g protein from eggs = RM 1++
24g protein from whey powder = RM2
24g protein from soft tofu = RM1

Advantage of whey?
Quick absorption, doesn't make you feel too full, super easy to prepare
But please use it only as a supplement...

Oh just to add, pretty sure eating the soft tofu raw would be fine.
So I guess it's the cheapest alternative and easy to consume (that is if you don't mind 300grams of tasteless mushy stuff going down your throat lol).
And I personally think its not too filling so I can eat other stuff as well.

Oh, in case your looking for an alternative that's almost 0 fat and 0 carbs:

1 can of Giant brand tuna in brine (salt water) = 33g protein = RM3
24g = RM2.20

lol.where did you find the nutrition facts for it..all i searched,contain quite high content of fats ..

Err, I didn't say that it was low in fats bro. I just mentioned the protein content.

And most of the fats are unsaturated fats, so not too bad I guess.

Curious,

Why do I get DOMS for some muscles and not in others?
Eg in my case, I don't get DOMS in my shoulders even after an intense workout but I do get DOMS with almost every other muscles the next day.
