Yes, if u explore the app, you'd find that you can sort all the startups by application rather than by event. Its easier to "audit" by application list and turn off stuff. Good luck. thumbup.gif whistling.gif

You will lose your root if you flash original stock firmware.

Oh, I see. So when upgrade to the ICS stock firmware, we need to wait new root method coming out or we still can use the old doomlord's easy kit root method? thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Honestly, Samsung's ICS should be out soon, Cyanogenmod team already told they have much to rewrite from scratch, all the frameworks changed, so i recommand using stock rom without clockwork when updating to ICS, i wouldn't be surprised if problems arise because of incompatibilities with customization and ICS, but that's only my humble opinion. For my part i needed to install google services, and i stopped there on the custom part. I tested the GPS, can't fix inside, outside will take 3 minutes, not bad. But i will wait that i9100g gets confirmed rooted ICS with whatever exploit to update, don't want to increase the binary counter, since no method to reset it is working so far, only the triangle gets removed with jig. I've read a method about downgrade combined with jig to reset binary, but i don't want to try tongue.gif

i am too late to save u from "binary counter" doomsday, u cant be saved now lols..
doomlord method is actually easy and working with a little "memory crash" trick.

Aduh don't make me sked =O

I didn't use the flash kernel method. Instead I used SuperOneClick 2.2. Works.

I've just read this on XDA forum, and it is true, the Galaxy Nexus and I9100G share a very close hardware.
I would guess that the Nexus rom could just fit on the I9100G without much modifications ...
If it's the case, it would mean great things for us I9100G owners, major custom rom like cyanogenmod/MIUI just can't ignore the Nexus, being the flagship of ICS ... It would seem logical, that I9100G gets even faster official update on ICS than other phone because of that, Samsung don't have much to do to make it works ...

QUOTE
Guys the i9100G is almost an exact replica of the Galaxy Nexus LOL. In fact, it's probably "better" in the fact that it has a better 8mp camera sensor (the sensor itself is just plain better at capturing light/detail). I wouldn't mind owning this.

Edit:
For those questioning the 4430/4460 debate:
http://www.ti.com/general/docs/wtbu/...ontentId=53243

The difference is nothing really for these devices. 720p vs 1080p stereoscopic 3d? who cares, it's not a 3d phone.
The 4460 is clocked higher which they probably were able to maintain this by feeding it more voltage. It's the same mfg process @ 45nm so who knows. But overall performance should be nearly identical.

The cake is here:
http://www.ti.com/general/docs/wtbu/...ntentId=103102

EDIT : I see nothing regarding efforts in that direction, maybe i'm wrong.

Just for info, the latest official firmware now makes the 9100G runs at 1200Mhz instead of 1008Mhz and benchmark scores almost near the original 9100 non-G scores. smile.gif

Official Malaysia one lar...i just log on to KIES (install KIES yesterday) and check the latest firmware..

Android: 2.3.6
Baseband: I9100GDZKJ2
kernel version: 2.6.35.7

Just run the antutu benchmark and compared the below:

http://10division.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-gt...ow/#comment-525

This blog shows the G running at 1008Mhz at the Antutu benchmark results and scores much lesser 4xxx. Mine managed 54xx (compared to the 56xx of the non-G shown above) and the CPU frequency on mine shows 1200Mhz instead of 1008Mhz. smile.gif So the performance is almost on par whereby previously quiet significant gap.

Official firmware yah, no hack-hack coz i dun want to kill my new SGS2 yet...sweat.gif..

yes, i am using stock with superatmos 1.2 kernel
and my stock rom is also heavily modified except the part with battery percentage, as i find it to make phone a bit lag and drain battery, but maybe not for others, for battery percentage i just use app "zdbox"
*
OIC , I am still using stock kernel and rom, seems ok and no battery drain problem. Awaiting for something new and almost perfect ..i did use zdbox but too complicated to me ...LOL tongue.gif

I'm running SuperROM v1.0 with superatmos kernel v1.1.

No problem. Very smooth. Battlife is awesome!

I'm gonna stick with this setup for awhile. smile.gif
*
I'm also using this setup.

Last friday i can still watch flash videos on the web, then yesterday i suddenly cant watch flash videos.

All i can see is this little blue cube thingy.

I was still using flash player v10 then.

I flash the juffo rom, and with that i can again watch flash videos but it drains too much juice so i tried flashing the superom again. And again, i cant watch flash videos.

I tried updating to the flash player v11, but evrytime i tried to watch flash videos, my browser crashes.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

Wow!
If so, then we don't need to worry about the performance difference between G and non-G version, do we?

Still no videos. Do you think this is a bug in the rom? I just notice this but the menu and back button is not lighting up when i touch it.

More likely a bad integration of the browser into the rom, tried changing browser ? I personnally use Dolphin HD browser which is excellent !

So Creezalird, no idea about the fact that Galaxy Nexus and i9100G are very similar ?
I really don't know where to find this kind of information, chinese forums are stuck on flashing kernel for rooting, and in XDA no one seems to have an idea, nearly no mention of I9100g on cyanogenmod, not really surprising, and MIUI chinese forum says all dev on ICS.
Fact is Nexus already on ICS, that's why i ask ... And there are some custom roms too ...

Ok i found someone on XDA who tried, but failed so far ...

This device has a BIG chance to get ICS I think so.
The omap 4430 is the little brother of the omap 4460, that soc is in galaxy nexus. It only seems I cant compile the kernel
There are some syntax errors in the code, so if someone knows the solution, please PM me.
