Just for info, the latest official firmware now makes the 9100G runs at 1200Mhz instead of 1008Mhz and benchmark scores almost near the original 9100 non-G scores.

QUOTE(creezalird @ Dec 11 2011, 01:18 PM) Official Malaysia one lar...i just log on to KIES (install KIES yesterday) and check the latest firmware..Android: 2.3.6 Baseband: I9100GDZKJ2 kernel version: 2.6.35.7 Just run the antutu benchmark and compared the below: http://10division.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-gt...ow/#comment-525 This blog shows the G running at 1008Mhz at the Antutu benchmark results and scores much lesser 4xxx. Mine managed 54xx (compared to the 56xx of the non-G shown above) and the CPU frequency on mine shows 1200Mhz instead of 1008Mhz. Official firmware yah, no hack-hack coz i dun want to kill my new SGS2 yet... This post has been edited by Matrix: Dec 11 2011, 01:27 PM |

Hmm...my SGS2 being hanging quite frequently recently...my friend SGS even worst...always hang when disable accuweather gadget...my sister also complained her SGS Plus hangs....and my colleague latest SGS2 also face hanging problems....
After some digging, i can find lots of such complains....i think Samsung phones really not stable....my old HTC Desire never have such problems....I guess i will be jumping ship after April when the slew of new HTC phones comes and see if it met my criteria...or worst....sucumb to Apple and become an iFag..... |

QUOTE(aronliew @ Apr 4 2012, 09:57 PM) hi i got a problem here...sometime my gs2 heat up although i closed all my application ...the solution i made was shut down my phone and let it cool down....izit normal case for sg2 g version Not normal. But as someone already said, if apps hang, can cause this as it's hogging the CPU. |

QUOTE(cloud97 @ May 5 2012, 11:35 PM) Hi Pros, needed your guideline. Just got my S2 few days ago. Cannot tahan S2 poor battery life and I read forums from net claimed that custom ROM for S2 can increase/get better battery life and decided to root my phone. But I'm newbie/noob of android You play games non stop and watch video and non-stop syncing ten emails account, non-stop flipping live wallpaper, sure lar. Anyway, all smartphones the same...sucks battery, reagardless what brand. Changing ROM frankly is not going to help much. Just keep it charged lar. Not difficult job.I downloaded creezalird's S2 guide and read through carefully... Questions: 1. Noob question 2. After doing some comparison, I decided to root my phone using method 2 (flashing using rooted kernel) with lucifr kernel. The author (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506954) stated "Download--> flash with odin" means copy the file directly into phone internal storage or from external microsd card storage? Added on May 6, 2012, 9:03 am QUOTE(barca96 @ May 1 2012, 10:54 PM) Guys, Im not so familiar with IT and stuffs but Im getting pretty pissed at m phone for hanging sometimes. It's normal for SGS2 to hang. All Samsung phones hangs. Once a week is ok lar. If keep hanging non-stop, then better claim warranty. If I root it, will it eliminate the problem? And will I still have my text messages after its being rooted? Thanks This post has been edited by Matrix: May 6 2012, 09:03 AM |
