hello guys!

rooted my phone in just 1 try! rclxms.gif

here's what i did:

1. firstly, i bought my phone here in KSA, so i have to update my firmware to DZKJ2.

i downloaded the firmware, odin, and the pit file.

2. then i use the older method to update my firmware by using odin. SUCCESS! smile.gif

3. after that i downloaded v3 of doomlord, edit the runme file, close kies, then started the root.

4. and after a couple of minutes of crossing my fingers, DONE ROOTING! rclxms.gif

& now that i'm rooted, i want to install the juffo custom rom. the only problem is, i dont know what to do next. would you guys be kind enough to instruct me on how to continue.

from what i've read, i have to flash the mygkernel to have CWM in order for me to install the custom rom.

how do i flash the mygkernel?

thanks! smile.gif

u can use either mygkernel or superatmos kernel, both have the CWM recovery
to flash the kernel, download "ktool" from android market and of course the mentioned kernel above.
put the zimage file from the downloaded kernel to the root of your phone sd partition.
use ktool to flash it, immediately reboot after that.
now u can access the CWM recovery by holding vol up + home + turn on button.
from CWM u can flash any custom rom or making backup of current rom

use ktool also to backup ur EFS (EFS is all sensitive informations like IMEI number and so on)

Ok, i'll try this later on.

I have a question, me and my friend both have s2, then we try the wifi direct.

We got connected, he send me a file and i received it.

Then it's my turn to send a file, but i cant seem to detect his device.

What do you think is the problem?

Thanks

of coz easy mahh..i just did it like 30minutes ago..lols..been testing around, got fed up and re-flash everything to stock back..lols..no usb jig involved ofc....stock firmware will not trigger the yellow triangle or binary counter even using odin.

of coz it is possible..just as simple as replacing file.
i am not running superrom but from the downloaded rom, i suspect it is inside /system/media/sanim.zip
i think u just back that file as anything like "sanim.zip.bak" and put ur new boot animation, rename to same like sanim.zip too..dont forget the permissions too..check first what is the old permissions
*
What do you mean permissions? And i thought the file would be "bootanimation.zip"

Manage to change the boot animation but the sound is still the same. Cant find the audio for the boot animation that i replace

I'm running SuperROM v1.0 with superatmos kernel v1.1.

No problem. Very smooth. Battlife is awesome!

I'm gonna stick with this setup for awhile. smile.gif

I'm also using this setup.

Last friday i can still watch flash videos on the web, then yesterday i suddenly cant watch flash videos.

All i can see is this little blue cube thingy.

I was still using flash player v10 then.

I flash the juffo rom, and with that i can again watch flash videos but it drains too much juice so i tried flashing the superom again. And again, i cant watch flash videos.

I tried updating to the flash player v11, but evrytime i tried to watch flash videos, my browser crashes.

Is there any way to fix this?

Thanks

click on it ? it should trigger the action to download flash player ... And with luck your browser will launch the older one, that's how i did reinstall on the tablet ...

Still no videos. Do you think this is a bug in the rom? I just notice this but the menu and back button is not lighting up when i touch it.
