Another impressive thing on the Lumnia is the voice command and recognition, from the short demo, seems it can recognize very accurately (no mistake) without requiring special American accent thing, but that was a short demo with short command/message, but still impressive. Need to test further to know how good or bad is it; even Google's one don't do so well.
Yep, the voice recognition on my Dell Venue Pro also quite impressive. But it sure have problems in detecting accents, something that you will get the hang of it, if you use it more and more.
One great thing about TellMe feature in WP7, if I connected to my phone via Bluetooth, as soon as I receive a text message, the phone will read it to me, and I can reply and send messages (Only short ones, as longer message will definitely have problems to be transcribed into text. Our Malaysian accent sure not the easiest to decipher ) without even getting my phone outta my pocket. Very convenient IMHO.

welcome to de club
Thanks!
Been a Maemo user since N810 days, still kicking myself for choosing the craptastic N97 over the uber-awesome N900 and definitely not going to miss out on the N9

glad to hear it maybe u can teach some tips/trick here
Heh, who am I kidding? I'm too much of a geek to leave this phone alone.
TS, please add me as a user for Nokia N9 64GB Black color please
Funny enough, the first thing I did after I got the phone was enabling the developer mode. So much joy in having a terminal in my phone, eventhough not using for now, except for some simple commands. Kinda nostalgic, considering I haven't carrying my N810 around as frequent as before. And screw jailbrake and rooting, I can have root thru devel-su!
My take? So far, I'm loving this to death! Except this one issue when bluetooth and wifi switched on at the same time, the wifi will have severely reduced speed. Lurking in the bugtracker confirms that this is a bug
But hey, Swipe is addictive as hell!
Wait till hands on the Lumnia, the wallpaper also same like N9, you'll be double-tapping and swiping

You should really consider getting a second-hand N900; It's still the best to date, offering more PC like experience; No replacement to date; got an Android qwerty, despite better specs and latest Flash support, it's not giving even close experience; My productivity and what I can do all went down... No true multi-tasking is a painful experience, despite there's so many web browser available, the chrome-like Dolphin, Firefox, Opera, none offer as good experience as Maemo dinosaur-aging browser with Flash 9. With N900, it's truely like having a mini-computer in your hand, you can use short-cut keys just like a PC, ctrl+A, ctrl+v, shift+cursor, etc. We can also activate the mouse cursor by swiping from outside the screen. Doing such in Android is such a pain and annoying, worst without the true-multitasking capability. The N900 is still there to stay, despite the age and how old it is, it's still the best internet tablet smartphone available to date, plus, with mplayer, the codecs, it's one of the device which can play almost any video files (except those in high resolution/bitrate). With other OS, there's just so many issue and limitations.

Yes, but does it have whatsapp, fruit ninja and angry birds? How about dropbox, skype or sports tracker? The N900 is for geeks and hackers, general users should not think it can replace their Android or iphone. It is still a good device but a dead end.

Nah, I never recommend for general users. From the start of N900 thread, I always tell people what is N900 about and warn people, I even show them the videos and tell them it may not suit everyone; During its time, many people were saying how great the phone is, so many people just buy without understanding whether it suits them. There's many definition in terms of a good phone, to people who emphasize on camera, will prioritize on camera, so any phone with poor camera will become a not good phone.
As for the apps, Angry Birds sure have since it's Nokia. Skype is also one of the major integrated social network, then Facebook; which now brought to MeeGo. There is dropbox app actually, an pretty powerful one. In terms of apps, actually, there's A LOT of apps in the repositories.... For those users who rely on OVI Store, will see... pretty empty. One major difference in terms of apps between Maemo and MeeGo is, Maemo has this "App Manager" which you can browse apps and manage apps, you can also add more "repositories" for other sources of apps; Means, no need to browse to those apps website and download. It's sort of like Cydia in iOS. Perhaps this "App Manager/Repository" thing can be develop and made available on the MeeGo?
With MeeGo, another issue, seems they have control over what type of file you can download from the browser, kinda of annoying. If not wrong, using FireFox seems can bypass it.
The person I recommend to, is senior Maemo user; he's been using N810. He mentioned he skip N900 and went for N97. Now, he got himself a N9. I'm just suggesting to him, he should consider getting a second-hand N900.
This is one of my favourite N900 review video, which also shows/explain to people that it's not for everyone:
