It can be collected today Added on February 3, 2012, 12:38 pm QUOTE(Andy214 @ Feb 3 2012, 11:45 AM) Small matter should be able to solve on the same day, even within 1 hour. The issue is availabity of spare parts as well. Like the nokia N9 usb cover replacement they said need take 2 weeks to order that part and it cost RM35+++ to replace a piece of plasticBefore these service centre go "professional" base, things were much simpler and direct; You can usually get back your phone on the same day, within few hours depending what's the problem. But after they "upgrade" and went profesional, it become more levels of checking and more procedures. This in turn, is bad for customer, sometimes a simple thing, also need approval. Then certain things, maybe require more level of approval, procedures, etc. The same applies for others, e.g. car "professional" workshops. I remember the 6260, send in Nokia Centre (last time Care Centre/repair all in the same place), on same day can get back; The procedure if I remember correctly is something like this, send in, they check first the problem first, then call you to inform you what's the problem and when can collect. Very efficient and hassle free. |

QUOTE(arsaa @ Feb 3 2012, 12:32 PM) profesional also people complaint....so what for pay profesional but give same service like semi-pro or non-pro at all? hahaha.... Not only that, profesional means, when you send in your device to check for problem, already have standard fee charged (unless under warranty), then want to fix/replace, another different charge. You see this practice is most professional service centre now, it's like a standard. The checking took longer than usual as well, and more funny thing is, sometimes, even if you KNOW what's the problem, you just want to replace the part, they can't. You must go through the standard procedure send in for checking first. I face this with my laptop keyboard spoilt, I want to replace the keyboard, but they don't allow, must send in for "diagnosis" which will take X days and charge me an amount. Then they will call me up of their "findings" and then wait for my decision whether to repair/replace or not. If don't want, still must pay for the "diagnosis". You will notice this procedure almost in every "profesional" service centre, e.g. cars, there is a standard labour charge for different model and the labour charge is per item. Not to mention, service tax or those miscelleanous charge, whatever charge they can add in.In non-"profesional" workshop, or simple workshop, no diagnosis charge, and labour can be cheaper if you repair/change many things together. Before NCC, the service/repair is together with Nokia Centre (which do sales), everything was much more simple, fast and efficient; But maybe it cannot handle the volume, or they want to make it better by setting up proper service centre with proper procedure, etc. But this in turn, create more problem for the customers. In the end, there's pros and cons; The most important is they need to improve the procedure for service, claims, warranty, stock up on parts and the staffs also need to be helpful to the customers to make the customer who already feel down/unhappy because their device problem, feel better. This is the main issue face by most after-sales in Malaysia, regardless of product; I can only say that most companies seems to emphasize more on sales/marketing, invest more on it; It seems they look more on surface, as sales and marketing is the one generating sales, so naturally, people who push the sales/marketing, but a poor after-sales will eventually destroy all the effort and money spend on sales/marketing. A good after-sales, will help to promote the product/brand without hard-selling; but this is also dependent on product; For mobile phones, because they're different OS, specs, features, people mostly less bother about after-sales unlike product which they need to rely on a lot and high maintenance, such as, cars. |

Procedure and system are very important. Example you let Ah beng to fix your phone how do you know whether he have the right technical expertist or knowledge to fix your phone.
Thats why if you see AP phones there numerous people complaint about sending their phone to repair A then come out A fixed but B issue arised. For my experiences in nokia care sunway pyramid they took longest a day or two to fixed it but after they moved to ss15 thats where things start to go haywire. For my 2nd experience in Nokia Care amcorp i am also impress took only 2 days fixed my problem and they keep calling me informing my phone is ready for collection compare to last time you need to chase them. |

Who ever wanted to test out the unofficial Waze app for Nokia N9 you might wanna try it here - http://code.google.com/p/waze-qt/downloads/list
Do inform them if you found any issues or recommendations. p/s: According to their email, Waze will not create the official app for MeeGo. |

QUOTE(arsaa @ Feb 2 2012, 09:55 PM) my unit still up for sale..seems like this device does not have enough market awareness making it soo hard to sell..what more used item?!! Hahaha.. It's getting better. PR1.2 will be out soon and you may want to wait for it. its a pity for nokia for having such a capable platform but doesn't put enough effort to complete it before the user get their hands on it..as of now Im not sure my 8 months wait worth it or not..wahahhaha so as long as I have this device..I'll use it lohr..hehhe Here's where you can get the file manager: http://maemobriefs.blogspot.com/2011/08/fi...le-manager.html |

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Feb 5 2012, 12:39 AM) Ooooo maiii goooddd.... The discussion is long over, actually the previous discussion purpose was just to warn and let people know it's better to advice people to go for replacement rather than cut. Are you guys still discussing about the stock micro sim & diy micro sim? Just give it a rest already.Plenty of people using diy micro sim with iPhone happily. Just let the user to choose how he/she want to obtain micro sim To prevent misunderstanding, I've spoiler the below long explanation of previous "discussion" and the intention. To put it short and simple, I'm just trying to HELP and WARN people; I don't wish to see people facing problems, especially when something really bad happens. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Added on February 5, 2012, 1:48 amBy the way, the Nokia's Windows Phone, have exclusive software, Nokia Drive and the more interesting, Contact Transfer which allows transferring contacts easily from any device running any OS. I find this a very important feature especially those who try changing platform (e.g. Nokia -> Android), you may find it's troublesome to transfer contacts (moreover for normal user). From Nokia to Nokia, usually it's very simple and easy. Another impressive thing on the Lumnia is the voice command and recognition, from the short demo, seems it can recognize very accurately (no mistake) without requiring special American accent thing, but that was a short demo with short command/message, but still impressive. Need to test further to know how good or bad is it; even Google's one don't do so well. This post has been edited by Andy214: Feb 5 2012, 08:41 AM |

Heh, who am I kidding? I'm too much of a geek to leave this phone alone.
TS, please add me as a user for Nokia N9 64GB Black color please Funny enough, the first thing I did after I got the phone was enabling the developer mode. So much joy in having a terminal in my phone, eventhough not using for now, except for some simple commands. Kinda nostalgic, considering I haven't carrying my N810 around as frequent as before. And screw jailbrake and rooting, I can have root thru devel-su! My take? So far, I'm loving this to death! Except this one issue when bluetooth and wifi switched on at the same time, the wifi will have severely reduced speed. Lurking in the bugtracker confirms that this is a bug But hey, Swipe is addictive as hell! This post has been edited by zero_kbom: Feb 6 2012, 10:50 AM |
