Foursquare for MeeGo is really COOL! Even better than Android's version.. Love the transition and effects in this app. Plus N9 locks the position faster and better than my SGS
+1 for Foursquare |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Oct 15 2011, 09:47 AM) Parting words from Gsmarena: "If anyone is let down, it's the Nokia N9 itself. The platform is as good as doomed. Forsaken by its own creator. With Nokia giving up on MeeGo and a price tag that confines the N9 to a premium niche, it will be next to impossible for the OS to grow a substantial user base. Without users, developers won’t be too interested in MeeGo either. And the limited number of apps is the platform's biggest weakness." lets hope so there will be more app in the future. whatsapp especially. It depends on the Meego/Maemo developer community whether they can buck the dire predictions. Right now I don't see apps being ported at a good rate. Maybe they are all working on it and there will be a flood later on, hopefully. |

Found out something interesting here:
http://www.meegoexperts.com/2011/09/openmo...oid-apps-meego/ It is similar like the Alien Dalvik project but this time they tested it on MeeGo Tablet.. The project name - Open Mobile's ACL |

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Oct 19 2011, 09:56 PM) If it needs to be integrated into the OS at the firmware level it will never happen because Nokia will never allow the N9 to be more attractive than their WP7 phones. But from the way things look I think the N9 app store will be well rounded in another few months. Most apps will come from the Meego community of enthusiasts but commercial developers are not ignoring N9 because Gameloft has released 2 HD games for N9. let's hope more app developer will join the MeeGo community soon http://my-meego.com/software/applications....dAuto=414&faq=3 http://my-meego.com/software/applications....dAuto=415&faq=3 |

wow that's tons of improvement! They even prepared for 1.2 even though 1.1 is not released to N9 users yet. NICE!

QUOTE(ViRaViRa @ Oct 24 2011, 03:54 PM) Nop, I've checked and it is not possible. Hopefully they do something about this in the next update. We can't even upload photos directly to Twitter (but got other ways to do this). I see. No wonder I missed out many mentions on twitter lately.. Let's hope they will fix this on the next update |
