hmm anyone disappointed with n9 battery life?, almost all the comment i read so far is people saying battery can last 2-3 days with high usage.

But from what i can see so far base on my usage pattern is it can only last like 1day.

This is my usage pattern
6am full charge 96%(this phone dosent charge 100%)

7.30am surf some web for 30 minutes using 3g (77%)

9am-6pm dint touch phone much no calls or sms (55%)

In contrast with iPhone 4/ galaxy s 2 i am getting much better battery life  especially on iPhone 4

Live feeds and notifications? I think that shouldn't consume too much power (unless on 3G mode). I have those stuffs activated too but no issues with battery.

I'm satisfied with the battery. With the same usage I can charge up once in 2 days compared to once a day with my previous phone.

By default, it's also set to update manually. It will make a difference if set to update automatically.

Btw, for those concern with battery life, just charge everyday, or when you can; This is modern batteries, it doesn't need to wait until low battery only charge. In fact, it's better to keep it 'charge happy'.
The lifespan is based on charge cycle, typically from 300~500 charge cycle; each charge cycle means doesn't mean how many times you charge, but 1 charge cycle = 100% usage in total.
e.g. You use 20%, then you charge; You did not use 1 charge cycle, it's only 20% of 1 charge cycle.
If anybody don't believe, just take some courtesy and time to go read about it, even Apple website also post this.

Some example:
My PSP vs my friend's PSP; He always charge ONYL when his PSP low batt or turn off itself, while I charge anytime I like and seldom let it low batt, plus my battery is way older than his.
We go out for multi-play, both fully charge. His PSP gone low batt when mine still have 2/3 bar.

Yes, fully agree with Andy. A smartphone is meant to be used to the fullest so charge everyday if you have to. If you can get through one working day good enough. No need to set your screen brightness to the minimum just to save battery, just enjoy your beautiful screen.

My work is such where I don't have the convenience to charge as and when I want (most of the time outdoor). So for those who are like me, they have no choice but to save power as much as they can.

That is also why people like me never like latest technology such as iOS and Android no matter how good they are but get settled for device like BlackBerry (it can do what exactly I want).

Every brand and model have their own debate. It never ends. Different people have different needs. For email and web browsing I use my iPad 2 the battery can last me 1 week.

No worries, each person have their own way, lifestyle, etc.

What I mean is, this applies generally to anybody, one can charge everyday when they're back home during the night. Charging overnight is OK too as when the phone is fully charge, it will cut off and will not charge until the battery drops below certain level (e.g. 85%). If one is concern with saving electricity and such, just unplug the charge when it's full.

Some people brings portable charger along; For hardcore users, even the portable charge is not enough; Imagine connected to 3G all the time, connected to IM (especially N9/N900, the IM/Social Network is integrated to your OS, once your 'ONLINE', it automatically logins to all the accounts (unless your disable it or have different settings), plus, the life feeds, etc.
As for people who compare with iPhone, iPhone doesn't have much really (I mean, cmon, there's no homescreen at all, just straight APPS MENU - it's more like nothing), so theoretically, it should have much more better battery life than most (if not all) smartphone with same capacity.

I also work 'outdoors', normally no convenient table to put at the gadgets
.
But I still use my phone to max - web surfing & videos with full brightness, no power save. Just dont really need the live feeds & updates, so save battery on that & conserve my 3G data quota.

Anything urgent from work, the old style of calls &sms still faster

The brightness of the display is quite bright (indoor) even when it is set at the lowest.

I use my ipad to watch videos or surf net, so that is probably why I don't use my phones.

Don't use 3G for another reason - my pocket will be burning. It is soooo hot.

Am naturally a power saver tongue.gif

hi, just got a N9 for my wife last week. Anyone know how to change / add ringtone for the phone? I've tried to add some MP3 ringtones in the MUSIC folder but can't see them unless I use the Search function.
