You restarted your phone after it switched itself off due low battery? You are not supposed to drain the Li-ion battery completely or it may cause permanent damage.
*
Nop, I restarted accidentally while testing something. I was helpless with the low battery issue because I was outside when it went off.

Are you sure Aspire2006 is a "him?" What about this self-portrait here?

Aspire20006 is a HIM because he is one of the Ranger and we have seen him.

You don't need a camera as good as N8 unless you need to take some great shots (replacing your digicam).

N9's camera is already very good for some casual family candid shots and to upload to Fb / Twitter (N9 doesn't allow upload to Twitter)

Since yesterday, I am often required to login into my Facebook for N9 after some time. It didn't happen previously. Any idea what is wrong?

& ever since I used my N9, I am swiping on any other touch screen gadgets e.g. iPad. vmad.gif sweat.gif

This has gotta be the saddest day of my life.....
My lovely N9 already got scratch on the screen  sad.gif  cry.gif

Its not obvious and very small, but if u see direct under bright light, can see the small scratch. Very sad woo  cry.gif
Im keeping it in a pouch now 24/7, untill I get a screen protector. I have to buy it at any cost!
*
U put it together with keys or other hard objects? Have you tried wiping it out with some soft cloth e.g. those used to wipe spectacles?

Very unlikely to get scratches unless you have handled it roughly.

This is what I did to get nearly 2.5 days battery life (short of 3 hours).

1) Brightness - set to the minimum.
2) Usage - push email (3 emails), Facebook, Twitter and web surfing (about 30 minutes in total during the 2.5 days).
3) No, I didn't activate power saving mode like what others claim I'm doing. Push email will not work with that.
4) Connected only via WiFi. And I am on 2G mode (but not using mobile data).

Added on October 13, 2011, 11:38 amCalls, SMS etc are as usual lar.

did you have live widgets on - FB. Twitter, news feed, etc?
*
Live feeds and notifications? I think that shouldn't consume too much power (unless on 3G mode). I have those stuffs activated too but no issues with battery.

Yes, fully agree with Andy. A smartphone is meant to be used to the fullest so charge everyday if you have to. If you can get through one working day good enough. No need to set your screen brightness to the minimum just to save battery, just enjoy your beautiful screen.
*
My work is such where I don't have the convenience to charge as and when I want (most of the time outdoor). So for those who are like me, they have no choice but to save power as much as they can.

That is also why people like me never like latest technology such as iOS and Android no matter how good they are but get settled for device like BlackBerry (it can do what exactly I want).

I also work 'outdoors', normally no convenient table to put at the gadgets
.
But I still use my phone to max - web surfing & videos with full brightness, no power save. Just dont really need the live feeds & updates, so save battery on that & conserve my 3G data quota.

Anything urgent from work, the old style of calls &sms  still faster
*
The brightness of the display is quite bright (indoor) even when it is set at the lowest.

I use my ipad to watch videos or surf net, so that is probably why I don't use my phones.

Don't use 3G for another reason - my pocket will be burning. It is soooo hot.

Am naturally a power saver tongue.gif

I'm considering this phone too but considering whether Ovi Store got many apps to play around like the Android market or not?

Oh yea, how about the camera quality as I'm really into the camera photography and wondering whether it can compete with the Samsung Galaxy SII?

Skype is OK for me. Only Facebook is giving issues. Chat is now not functioning (earlier was functioning). FB always logs out and asks for password.

Skype is working well smile.gif

Erm, i will try deleting facebook account from the phone and add again. Probably that might solve the problem.

Btw, it is 9am now. In another 4 hours, my phone's battery life will touch 2.5 days smile.gif

It is now showing 24%

Hehe, I'm out of the game, today last day, didn't read properly, no time to do today/weekday.

Anyway, didn't have much confidence either from the start due to the "requirement" for level 2. Just do what I can.

U give up bro? Erm, I don't think so tongue.gif

Ok, it is exactly 1 hour to go and my phone is showing "battery low".

So it is 2.5 days again (short or of exactly 1 hour). smile.gif

You mean N9 has less shutter lag?

There's one type of shot which only only physical button can do - the self shot. Maybe, just maybe, someone may produce an app to map the volume buttons to zoom in/out and the power button to snap.

Here's a camera comparison between N8 and N9 in gsmarena. Of course we already know the answer.
http://blog.gsmarena.com/quick-camera-comp...ia-n8-featured/
*
Erm, is the photo quality of N9 that bad? It is all blur. I think the person who took the shots didn't know how to use the AF feature?

Probably the colour and quality, N8 is very much better but the sharpness couldn't be that much different...
