Most probably Affin Hwang Growth, one of the three PRS fund in FSM recommended funds 2020/2021
*
If we top up directly via PPA, is there still a fee to be paid to Affin Hwang?

PPA charges 50 cent for administrative fee.
Other than that, it is not stated if there's any sales fee incurred.

So am I correct to say that for the first time buying a particular fund, we have to go thru either FSM or the bank to purchase it and then pay a sales fee if any. And for subsequent years top-up via PPA online, we only pay a fee to PPA and nothing to the fund/bank? Thanks.

At PPA website, you can only top up into existing PRS fund.
If you have any fund yet or you wish to buy a new PRS fund which is not in your portfolio, you need to sign up at the preferred PRS provider or middleman agent like FSM or eUT.

seem like 'better' provider have highest sales charge of 3%
is it still okay to go with provider with 3% in the long run?

my agar agar guess are
if you do it just 1 time, then the extra 3% charged if amortized in the long run, then the yearly % will be little,
but if you do it every year, then the cumulation of each year of amortized % from each year's of adding, will add up to be a substantial amount of concern to some people when viewed from a particular year.

btw, mind sharing the details of that "better" provider and the name of that PRS fund that is of interest to you?

I don't agree.
Their PRS fund beat others since 2019 only, b4 that..... 😅
I agree with the view of above, long run n one time only is ok, but if every year, make sure every year at least 3% return 😂
