Scenario 1:
If i got 2 PRS fund and i top it up in one particular year, so i have to pay 2 times annual charges?

Scenario 2:
If i got 2 PRS fund but i only top up in one PRS fund (let said PRS A) this year, then i top up PRS B next year, so i only have to pay one time annual charge?

no sure u guy understand what i mean... brows.gif

If got tax relief, continue to top-up

If don't have tax relief, then discontinue and let your capital compound over the twenty or thirty years.

Simple as that.

Xuzen

p/s PRS' awesomeness is tied to its tax relief.

thanks for the opinion....i quite agree with your advice....just hope it will extend the tax relief.... brows.gif

CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity - Class C NAV price abit high, don't know how high it will go..

while AmPRS - Asia Pacific REITs - Class D only have 1 year history..
sorry guys, what does the Class C and Class D mean?
*
Class D/ C is only available for certain distributors appointed by the PRS Provider (normally we can buy this through FSM)

Class I/ X is only available for Employer-Sponsored Retirement Scheme and also employees of any employer with prior arrangement with the PRS Provider.

Friends,

PRS should not be a complicqted process. You put in only MYR 3,000.00 per annum or MYR 250.00 per month if you choose to particiapte using bank standing instruction.

If you are below 40, choose growth fund. If you are above 40 years old, choose moderate. It is my personal opinion that the conservative funds are a waste of time.

The tax relief window is until 2021, and this means you only have four years of tax releif left.

For PRS growth fund, choose CIMB-PRINCIPAL PRS PLUS ASIA PACIFIC EX JAPAN EQUITY - CLASS C

For PRS moderate fund, choose Affin Hwang Moderate Fund.

For me, I started in 2012 with Affin Hwang Moderate fund because Affin Hwang was the first PRS provider in the industry. The other PRS provider came later, about six months later than Affin-Hwang. The amount of tax relief I got cummulatively so far is MYR 3,600 (MYR 720 tax relief x 5 years). The gross return for Affin Hwang moderate fund is 6.6% p.a. Annualized.

If incorporate the tax relief, (at 24% tax bracket), the annualized return becomes 14.73% p.a. Annualised.

Apa lagi lu mau?

Sh1t, I hope the govt continue with the tax relief post 2021. Better still if they increase it to MYR 6,000.00!

Xuzen

P/s Don't put anything more than MYR 3K p.a., as anything above MYR 3K, you don't enjoy the tax releif and PRS biggest selling point is the tax relief... period.

D1U! I see people here choose this choose that, think this, think that...when all they are gonna put in is MYR 250.00 per month only. And the fact is if you don't kena tax, then no point to participate PRS. If you are eligible for the Youth incentive, then open an account, put in the minimum value (MYR 1K at the time of writing) and then wait for your govt incentive.

Once you start to work and get properly taxed then you start the PRS program. And don't play PRS like stock or normal UTF, do asset allocation lar as though doing normal UTF or time the market lar as though playing stock market....

It is a waste of time. Just put in MYR 250.00 every month and once a year get the tax relief. That itself is your guarantee win liao! That is like a guarantee income liao: APA LAGI LU MAU?

I spoke to some young kucipeks who are working, tell them open an account, just put in minimum MYR 1K to get a 100% ROI , that is , the govt incentive. 100% ROI also they boh hiu! Think this think that.... but buy Iphone 7 which is RM4K, wah! Will borrow, cheat and steal to get it! D1U!

So far I am seeing Affin Hwang PRS as the best performing one. Not sure how it will moves in the long run. Since it is a PRS fund the expectation would be to keep it for more than 10 years.
*
Ya, i oso bet AmPRS REITs will perform better in long run.
Now perform a bit worse. Nvm buy low 😁

## my Affin perform better than my Principal

lol, monitor first. actually prefer non-malaysian centric funds to diversify. but i think only those 3 so far. previously i DCA monthly, but this year i think i'll go with lump sum towards year end during FSM promo to get some freebies.
*
Normally i open n make the first deposit first, stand by the bullet and wait for the dip.
If no dip, i will slowly release it into .
i Kiasu n kiasi, afraid last minute system down, biz la or forgot ....... biggrin.gif

#####

Beside that 3, i think only got Kenanga ( Malaysia Centric) hmm.gif May b Kenanga OnePRS Shariah Equity Fund (i got 6 month to decide rclxms.gif )

Kenanga OnePRS Conservative Fund not bad but too conservative for me. Kenanga OnePRS Growth Fund doh.gif bcoz Kenanga Growth Fund doh.gif unless change to Kenanga Growth Fund Series 2 - MYR Class hmm.gif

Unless u want Public Mutual, Public Mutual PRS Islamic Growth not bad brows.gif but the sales charge doh.gif

https://prsenrolment.ppa.my/

Based on the tnc, they will help him forward to the provider. If u buy principal fund, u application go to principal assets investment lo.
First time have to wait until they helpbu open account n they will email or mail ur statements. That time baru he can perform online top up.
Like me, i through FSM, FSM forward my application to affin Hwang, after that i get my ppa number n statement from Affin hwang
Second time if i buy from principal, principal will mail me statement. FSM just help me be the middle man.
Am i right?

Only that 8 middle man can open ppa account n sell u prs fund. Right?

That is not called middle person.
PPA is directly working with PRS provider.
Online enrollment at PPA website should save all the manual paper works if we were to buy with FSM.

FSM is the middle person since they forward your application to PRS provider.
*
So, that mean PPA will open the account n forward his application to the provider?

That mean he won't get the PPA number bcoz account haven't open yet?
