Hi, I am new to PRS.
As a young investor (24 still consider young?), which PRS will you guys recommend?

I have compare multiple PRS (affinhwang, PB and kenanga) and I found that affinhwang have the best performance? (not sure)

But affinhwang has a slightly higher annual charge compare to others, is it  doesn't matter?

Need advice, thank you.

on the matter of slightly higher annual charge compared to others...I personally does not mind b'cos I am only interested in the performance of the fund when compared against its similar mandated funds.

Hi, really appreciate your valuable opinion!
Can i know what is the different between a growth funds and non-core funds?
I knwo that growth funds are mainly for investor below 40, but hw abt non-core funds?
Is their investment strategy different from each other?

hmm.gif there is no basis to say that the age of a person determine the type of fund one should have.....thus i think it is not correct to say growth funds are mainly for investor below the age of 40.
the nearest i can put is the % of one's asset that are allocated to it....this too is most probably not correct too.

Growth funds are mostly...To provide unit holders with long term capital growth by investing principally in equities.

Core and non core funds are used by FSM to advise investor to distinguish the type of funds for a portfolio when trying to do the % of allocation....
"Investors should use a core and supplementary portfolio strategy for effective diversification. The core portfolio must be diversified with foreign funds while the supplementary portfolio holds any funds which allow you to act on market views that you may have."

i have just re-read the statement about the tax deduction and now i'm a bit unclear, starting from 2012, tax deduction can be done for 10 years. if I only start investing on 2014, does it mean i can do tax deduction 10 years from 2014, or 10 years from 2012?

Hi, i have a noob question here, where can i see the yearly dividends of the particular PRS? I can see the growth % but not the dividend.

My understanding is there should be yearly dividend payouts like PB Mutual, EPF, etc.

Looking to make my first purchase of RM1k for Affin Hwang PRS Growth Fund smile.gif

*** Just found the info below, is it the dividend that is paid on 31/1 yearly?

while waiting for responses...you may like to know that, PRS funds is UT funds...thus dividend distribution in UT has no added benefits...it did not add value to your existing value in the UT fund....
(you just got more units but the NAV would drop at about the same value)

FSM doesnt seems to provide annual statement/tax relief statement for PRS investments. How do you guys keep track of PRS investment amount per year if audited by income tax dept?

The Provider's statement remains as the official document for the purposes of filing for a tax relief claim.
