Was made aware that the Govt is increasing the Youth Incentive Scheme from 500 to 1k. Any credible source for this?

QUOTE(MUM @ Jan 1 2017, 11:54 PM) I found this on google.... http://www.ppa.my/wp-content/uploads/2016/...ive-ppa.my_.pdf I suppose it is the same the current Youth Incentive Scheme -- the only difference would be the amount given. Read-through the PPA website, but it hasn't reflect the changes made during the Budget 2017 tabling. |

QUOTE(1tanmee @ Jan 2 2017, 01:41 AM) Hahhahaa. Perhaps I should re-phrase it; what I meant was, what would be the criteria to be eligible for the scheme. I think applicable for 1st time investor only. If existing one won't get RM1k.I suppose it is the same the current Youth Incentive Scheme -- the only difference would be the amount given. QUOTE(zestsc1028 @ Jan 6 2017, 08:22 PM) Just notice that the PRS website was updated. So it is official now that the Youth Incentive has increased from RM500 to RM1000. QUOTE Pursuant to Budget 2017, the incentive amount has been enhanced by the government to RM1,000. The government will contribute RM1,000 per qualified youth to be used to purchase units of PRS funds in the PRS account. To qualify, the youth has to accumulate a minimum gross contribution amount of RM1,000 during a period of two (2) years from 2017-2018. QUOTE(janice17 @ Jan 15 2017, 11:20 PM) Easier if you walk in bank, they will do everything for you like fill in forms, choose fund they will advise. I dunno if online payment is comvenient or not. They will charge you 3% sales charge upfront. Through fsm, you need to submit forms on your own to fsm. You can still get advise via fsm. But payment is very convenient via fsm. Fsm charges 0% upfront. |

They will charge you 3% sales charge upfront. I think it's better to use FSM because of the 0% sales charge. The only downside is that you have to mail the forms to them. Just make sure you fill the forms correctly according to the samples they provided and attach the required documents, or they will call you a few days later and ask you to send them a new one again. This happened to me a few days ago because I filled the forms using blue ink, which is not allowed. Through fsm, you need to submit forms on your own to fsm. You can still get advise via fsm.
