Hey guys, noob question to entertain here,

is RAID a physical configuration as in I need to have 2 identical sized HDD's

or is there a possibility to have a single HDD partitioned in half to support either RAID 0 or 1.

thanks in advance fellas!

RAID no need identical sized HDD

Not possible to partitioned half to raid, but you can do 0+1 where you need 3 disk

I have 3 WD hard disk. 120GB 200GB and a new one 500GB.. 120 survived for 4 years, 200GB about 2 years, and 500GB about a month with no issue.. green power summore. biggrin.gif

which shop you buy from, you may ask for 1week 1 to 1 exchange? or else you may direct RMA to Seagate (key in Seagate website first, print out the paper, and send to the location), estimate time 2 weeks to return to you.
