I got 2 HDD, 2 years ago before I move out the HDD from the casing, there's no bad sector found. I left it outside and it wrapped with dust after 2 years. Then after I plug in the HDD back after 2 years, when checked by Seatools, both have bad sector and it's so many detected. Care to tell me what happened?

It is bad to let them collect dust is what I would say. My old 10 GB hdd broke just because I didn't plug it in hmm.gif .

The reasons are unknown though, hard disks are air sealed I believe.

400MYR/Seagate 750gb = 0.53..

332.8MYR?/Seagate 640gb = 0.52

260MYR/Seagate 500gb = 0.52

---------

285MYR/WD 640gb = 0.4453125 per gb

Of Course WD have Black line which is USD199 for 750gb

---------

Seems like Seagate will join SSD soon

I support SEAGATE, so far it is a consistant brand in market, and I believe their technology in advance than others.
