If you can't detect it on most PC...then the only way is go to low yat, there is a data recovery shop if I not mistaken...try ask them about the price first before let them recover for you. But if your hard disk is completely dead then no chance to recover your data I think... icon_rolleyes.gif

xcuse me....I've just noticed this topic... if my HDD cant be plugged in to PC (eg. got burning smell from it) can i send the HDD to the shop to recover the data? becoz my fren also have the prob n we're searching for the shop to recover HDD data from our ill-fated HDD sad.gif

thanks.

You can send to shop, but I not sure whether they can repair it for recovery...since got burning smell, then maybe is the circuit burn or the IC burn, you can ask the shop to check for you...if only IC burn or curcuit burn, 'maybe' still can save the data... unsure.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

What sort of RAID 0 setup you using? The on-board mobo chip or a separate card?
*
Onboard RAID 0 with ICH9R.

i only used Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA2 32MB now...it comes wif 5yrs warranty.transfer big file can reach 67.5-70Mbps.dat one last attemp i transfer big file(bout 80-110GB).if transfer small size,i think normal,or i just no mentioned maybe.i think same theory applied for 750GB right.cause got more buffer.so far so good..serve me pretty well.temp not monitor.

sorry, noob question.if i use RAID0 compared wif sata 32mb,which one gud for performance and rawly calculated, by how much percent?
