RM12 annually for J Card only... can easily earn back the annual fee if you drink lots lots of Starbucks.

Exactly! I can swipe during weekdays too and get 10% off and on top of that 5xTP with my AmEx. Earlier, I was a little cheapskate and purposely wait till weekends to get 5% off from AmEx. Now I can even get 15%. biggrin.gif

Talking about that, my TP... hmm.gif
My biggest purchase was a DELL laptop and it gave me around 13k of TP, then Maybank gave me free 10k TP. Plus other purchases, it was about 26k TP.
Earlier, I have already deducted 10k TP for my VISA GST and I only left with around 16k TP.
I checked my TP last night, it went up to 22k. The problem is I hardly swipe my AmEx. laugh.gif
Last month I didn't swipe anything and this month only got 500 TP.
6k TP is about RM 1.2k which I didn't that swipe much if I recall correctly.
Most of the places I go don't accept AmEx, hence I use my VISA most of the time. VISA I already have more than 4k TP.
Any way that I can check my TP transaction? unsure.gif

^ Your card statement. It will show the amount of TP gained for each month but you have to calculate the exact amount for each transaction on your own. Pretty straight forward. Spreadsheet would help.

This MBB 2 card weekend rebate is counting on calendar month and not by our billing month?

Will the rebates of the current month reflect in the current month bill like OCBC Titanium?

i want to apply this Maybank 2 Gold card,
my monthly salary is RM2,200 only and 2 months contractual bonus per year.

But this card requirement is annual income RM 30,000.
This RM30,000 can count in my contractual bonus?

If can, how i'm going to prove it?
by showing my offer letter?

depends on when ur statement bill. coz the rebate will be credited on next month on 1st or 2nd day. if ur statement bill is afer 1 or 2, then yes it will reflect ~

I might just apply one J Card for the sake of Starbucks. tongue.gif It seems to be the perfect friend for my AmEx. Spend at Starbucks during weekends, 15% + 5xTP. Wonderful! rclxms.gif

I might just get a tumbler and get another RM 2 off but the only thing that holds me back is that a Starbucks' tumbler doesn't come cheap. laugh.gif

The J Card 10% off thingy is gonna last for a long period or just temporary? I remembered I was asked by the cashier if I have a J Card back in August.

I am not too sure about how long the promo will last but there was a barista that told me for those who use Starbucks Card in the future might not be able to enjoy the 10% J Card discount reason that the Starbucks Card is already having a buy 10 free 1 drink promo hence is already at 10% discount.

Btw, just found something interesting. I booked a hotel in Bangkok recently but due to flood, I canceled it. The hotel debited me back X amount of money and I lost the X amount of points based on the amount the debited.

The discounts given by J card is not valid with other promo or discounts, so most likely you cant use it with Starbucks Card soon.

Well, that is logical because technically you didnt purchase anything, so you dont get any TP.

Technically Starbucks card is more of a prepaid card rather than promo card or discount card.

It's more like a loyalty card. To maximize the profits from your starbucks card, reload it using mbb 2 card at weekend. When you want to buy drinks, use tumbler coz u can get rm2 off. At the same time, use ur Bcard and genting world card to get the points

Loyalty card is usually for rewards/benefits (points, discount, promotion). A card with value in it is more like a prepaid card. So I guess tifosi's term is more appropriate.
