by the way JJ = jusco card? (12 anual fee one?)

Yup. Jusco card gives 10% discount. That day when I paid, I give the cashier 4 cards to swipe just for a drink.

J Card - 10% discount
Genting Card - Cant remember 2X or 3X World Points
BCard - Berjaya's Loyalty Card. Not mine. Don't bother since I am against Vincent Tan except Starbucks.
Amex - 5% + 2.5% discount.

sure can get rm5 off on starbucks card on weekends? well can ask them thru FB.
i think the JJ 10% discount will not be given for any top ups/reloading of the cards. but its almost the same as using the card to buy 10 drinks n later get 1 free

its good, you can register your cards,your spouse and 2 other members of your family/frens, if u happen to misplace/lose any of your card/s just one call, you are safe locally or international

Haha. The cashier did ask for J-Card from me for discounts but I don't have a J-Card.

OK, if the merchant accepts AmEx and it processes during weekends, then you can get the 5% rebate.
5xTP is 24/7, not only limited to weekends.

Most cashiers in most shops in KK are very ill-informed. I know better than them most of the time Just like the Maybank AMEX buy 1 free 1 promotion. The staff at the Starbucks in downtown KK wasn't aware of this promotion. He needed to consult with his supervisor first. But his supervisor had gone out for dinner or something. So he had to call him


Guess what ? I did use my Genting Worldcard everytime i went to Starbucks last time but somehow and for some reason i couldn't recall, i stopped using it and stored the Genting Worldcard in my drawer. I almost forgot the existence of this card until i cleaned up my room just a few days ago. Took the card out and checked my points on www.worldcard.com.my and found out that my all my points had expired. I could have redeemed a RM50 Starbucks voucher using the points i had




Salute!!! I have to get myself the BCard too. I only need to 2500 BCard points to redeem a RM50 Borders voucher. That's a very good deal. It means an additional 2% off my drink at Starbucks Thanks for the information. I will show them four cards too next time i go to Starbucks.

By the way guys, you get 2x Genting Worldpoints when using your card at Starbucks nationwide and 5x Genting Worldpoints at Coffee Bean (Peninsular Malaysia outlets only).

next time i will carry my Amex and another card, during pymt time, just flash out the Amex and ask the cashier to swipe/get authorisation even if he/she resist, if failed then only use the other CC

btw, Amex dun hav the Wave function huh? its verv convenient wei.......

I am so eager to use J card at starbucks today after knowing about it's 10% duscount that I swipe my OCBC Ti instead of amex

Usually Nando's would accept AMEX. Sometimes you need to insist.

I have 14 cards (CC, DC and Loyalty Card) in my wallet excluding about 6 which I keep at home cause I seldom use. All for different purposes. How I wish I could consolidate all into 1 card and select the cards I want at the cashier.

Tried at Nando's Trop City and KLCC, both places accept AMEX.

You still get 5% discount

I might just apply one J Card for the sake of Starbucks. It seems to be the perfect friend for my AmEx. Spend at Starbucks during weekends, 15% + 5xTP. Wonderful!

I might just get a tumbler and get another RM 2 off but the only thing that holds me back is that a Starbucks' tumbler doesn't come cheap.

The J Card 10% off thingy is gonna last for a long period or just temporary? I remembered I was asked by the cashier if I have a J Card back in August.

RM12 annually for J Card only... can easily earn back the annual fee if you drink lots lots of Starbucks.
