I want to ask, I had register the visa electron in public bank website so now I login and see the amount but I still cannot use it to transfer funds. (I think that one need to go to the branch to apply for that so that they will enable the function for me to transfer fund right?)
Now I also want to ask, is that my visa electron number = account number?
So if I give to ppl the number(Not include the last 3 digit and expire date) it should be safe right?
Ppl able to transfer fund directly into my visa electron by this account number?

I too have the the same problem when i 1st received my card (PB Esso)
But after i have changed the pin and did tied up another saving account to the internet banking, I can transfer the funds from the debit card.
Maybe you should try to change your PIN 1st? good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

The pin will mail to you seperately.... or you can obtain it by going to the branch that you apply the card.

IMO, You cant get it from the branch if it is debit card (i tried customer service and she told me to wait for it)

The PIN is like the PIN for ATM, 6 digit.

But My visa electron is renew one woh.
Last time I got 1, then this year expire it auto send me a new one.
Then I want to do verify by visa so I register the card in PBB website but in the end I can't verify by visa anymore.
Then the pin should be the old one right? I don't think they gonna send a new pin to me.
I can login website to see my card's balance but when I click transfer or other function, it show that I need to go to the branch to activate it.

Hi everyone, want to ask you all.

Is it possible switch from my CIMB saving account, Basic Saving Account 1 (with unlimited cash withdraw and Annual fee RM8 per year) to saving account without annual fee (Basic Saving Account 2). This is because I less cash withdraw 6 times per month. So there is no point I every year charge annual fee RM8 per year. cry.gif

If can, how should I do? icon_question.gif

I got contact to CIMB Customer service before. They say cannot convert. The only way is close the current saving account, open new saving account without annual fee RM8.

But I saw from LYN thread (NOT in here la~), the forumer say that they successful convert from unlimited cash withdraw (Annual Fee RM8) to basic saving account 2 (NO Annual Fee RM8). Don't know that forumer say can be trust or not~ sweat.gif I'm still retrieve back the forumer post the comment, but now cannot find it~ sad.gif

Is it regulation for the saving account/ debit card to have pre-authorization payment when sign for petrol... It will hold or deduct rm200 after about 10days then it will return back to you and deduct the actual amount that you pumped....

sorry this must have been asked many times..

Is it true that debit card doesn't have any charge back protection? I'm worried, particularly for unauthorized online purchases.

If let's say my debit card (bank account) only got $50, someone try to swipe it for $80, will the transaction fail or I owe the bank $30?

Thanks!

I already had pbb online banking, and i also changed the pbb-esso debit card pin
My question is
1. when i go to pbb online banking, i couldn't see the pbb-esso debit card account,
do i need to do anything at atm /?(I want to check my pb-esso debit ussage online)

2. can i link the pbb-esso card to my saving account ?

Thanks

hi, debit card only allow you to use what you have in the account.

so in that case the transaction will fail.

ya the problem settled.

I have to go to the branch and fill in a form to link my debit card to my existing
online banking account.

Then I had able to see the card linked end of the day.
