I'm going to try this version.

Previous version doesn't work well with my trusty RB760iGS. After upgrading to 7.x, my Deco X20 ethernet backhaul not working. Reverting to Wifi backhaul. Had to revert back to 6.49.6 ever since.

Or should just stay with 6.xx?

Anyone here happen to play around with Docker container on Mikrotik?

I have a hAP ac2 currently just used as switch. Planning to use it to try out the docker feature but not sure what to do with it yet. Maybe try pihole.

I think will get this one. 5G will drain your phone up. You need to charge twice a day for using 5G.

I have some good news for RB5009 users...





Now RB5009 SFP+ can nego 2.5Gb XPON ONU SFP, if you like to break 1GbE on 800/1Gbps internet limit...

UPDATE:
I tired 2.5Gb, which is much better and faster sync between ODI and SFP+


before in 1Gb mode, SPF+ will having multiple Link Down just to get sync properly...
even tho 2.5Gb mode wont increase internet speed, stable sync also important!

yea, I take 7.7beta because RB5009 can support 2.5Gb GPON!

Do not use 1.1.1.1 DNS. Reallly mess me up.

Most of us here are using Pihole or Adguard DNS.

Are you using TIME fibre? I saw a lot of TIME fibre subscriber having issue with Cloudflare DNS recently.

tmnet. Cloudflare not stable at all. back to google now.

Im also facing slow performance with cloudflare..even the benchmark is top on my list

Hi, first timer Mikrotik user here
i have a Mikrotik RB750Gr3 for free, so i was thinking that i wanna rebuild my network again previously i'm running OpnSense
For PPPOE Setup for unifi i think i can but i wanna take it a step further with my setup by:

1. Running a Wireguard server or any VPN to remote access my PC
2. Firewall
3. VLAN tagging and dhcp coz i have a 8port smart switch lying around
4. Extensive bandwith monitoring and optimization
5. Cloudflare DDNS
ETC.


So, hope yall can show me da way for this small box, Thanks

1.Youtube got alot of tutorial just follow it.(Remember to add a Firewall rules- Filter rules - add input allow for Wireguard UDP port access)


2.Reset the hEX,and the default generated firewall rules should be enough for most people,and just add or edit from the default conf.
3.Follow Soonwai thread : https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4202122 for VLAN tagging.
4.For me i just us the fq_codel for queue to every interface with specific interface speed limitation to avoid high bufferbloat.
5.Search on google,should have alot of CF DDNS script that can be modified for use.
