You may want to buy hEX s or hEX PoE

https://mikrotik.com/product/hex_s

https://mikrotik.com/product/RB960PGS

Either both of them are good for packet processing and also for ipsec vpn. The hEX s has only 1 port passive PoE out and the hEX PoE has 4 af/at PoE out. Your choice.

hAP AC2 is quite good. It’ll route around 750Mbps without Fasttrack but it doesn’t have PoE out. This is what I’m using atm.

If Fasttrack is going to be used all the time then the Hex S that gaara suggested is perfect. I had the Hex (same but no SFP nor PoE) for awhile and it was a great router.

Next up is a big jump in price, RB4011. RB3011 also can but personally I’ll skip this one.

You will need to change the ARP in LAN ports/Bridge to accept reply only. Then you will need to change the address pool on DHCP to use static-only, also do not forget to tick the option Add ARP for leases.

yup confirmed it is IPv6 problem and it seems from mikrotik ends, so tm unifi is not the problem. it is mikrotik ipv6 address. nod.gif

But I am kinda curious, browsers always use happy eyeballs also called fast fallback when it try to access a website. In case the ipv6 failed it will fallback to ipv4. But not in this situation, this is quite weird.

I need some tips how to get my MikroTik RB750Gr3 (home router) on TMnet Unifi 300Mbps Fiber Internet via PPPoE at ether1 main link to failover to ether2 backup link via neighbour relatives wifi link via MikroTik RBD52G (Router-Bridge) CPE Router mode on wifi 5G link configuration.

Thanks

I had something like this:

UniFi30#1 ------ RB2011(my router) ------ hAP Lite ---{wifi}--- Asus RT-N2D1(Neighbour) ------ UniFi30#2

Guides that I used:
Mikrotik Dual WAN PCC Load Balancing
Mikrotik Wiki: PCC

Mine was PCC load balancing but if you can load balancing, you can also do failover.

There is a lot of ways to do failover. You can use route distance by specifying check gateway or you can use script to check the gateway and disable/enable the default route automatically. Other ways is by using mangle rules to create PCC. Your choice nod.gif
