QUOTE(zlewe @ May 8 2016, 01:03 AM) Hi guys, I have a RB951Ui from Cloudstore. I'm been getting very low overall ccq (around 30) lately over wifi at night which means very slow and unstable. LAN works completely fine in pushing my full 30mbps unifi speed. Tried to change tx power to 17dbm instead of default, the problem still there. Tried to change to only 20mhz, problem still there. Is there any more things that I can try to change? Or am I having a faulty unit? Did you manage to solve your problem? Do you get low CCQ even when close to the router? Low CCQ with high signal is usually an indication of interference. Not much you can do except to change channels. 20MHz is suppose to help but you already tried that.A couple of notes: 1.I followed exactly how to setup unifi through mikrotik.com.my. 2.My password is wpa/wpa2 psk with aes ccm. 3.Condo. Top floor (29th). 4.It usually happens at night. 5.Signal is completely full bar from the 2nd floor of my unit. (Router on the wall of 1st floor). No suggestion of changing router. That's my last resort. I'll be very grateful if there is anyone that can help me. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is a hardware problem with the RB. Maybe antenna or radio. But if that's the case then it should be the same 24/7 and not just at night. Have you done a spectral scan? |

Now I connect back the unifi router to one of the ether port of mikrotik so that I can still provide stable WiFi connection while experimenting with the settings. Have you done a spectral scan? Do anyone knows how to set priority/queue for the interface? Basically I have 2 interfaces provides internet to clients which are ether-4(connected to unifi wifi router) & wlan1 and I want wlan1 to have a higher priority than ether-4 when full bandwith is used. I searched online and can't seem to find a correct answer for the configuration I'm looking for. |

Anyone here use any network monitoring systems? I've been using PRTG 15 since I have a Windows Server not doing much. It's quite nice and free for up to 100 sensors but gets really expensive when you need more than that. Of course, there's an older cracked version which works quite well but looking to avoid that.
Had planned to try Dude but don't have a compatible RB to run Dude server. And my server is 2012 Foundation, no Hyper-V. :-( Maybe if I can find a spare PC or VM, I'll install CHR just for Dude. Or one of those Linux based ones. Mainly want to monitor remote routers & servers. Any recommendations? This post has been edited by soonwai: Jun 10 2016, 03:05 AM |

amirsubhi no worries.
For those who's wondering what it is, the Dude is Mikrotik's network monitoring system. It's free and tailored to Mikrotik's routers, APs and switches. It's client/server. The older version 4 server and client runs on Windows. The new v6 has a server which runs in RouterOS but not all, only x86, CHR, TILE or ARM routers. The v6 client runs on Windows or in WINE if you're using Linux or OSX as I am. So the cheapest RB to run Dude v6 server is RB3011 or RB850GX2. The free way is to run it on CHR. Now trying CHR in VMWare Player. This post has been edited by soonwai: Jun 10 2016, 01:21 PM |

Guys, all the Mikrotik guru... I've just gotten a RB2011UiAS-RM for my company together with Unifi Biz + 5 Fixed IP. Really need some help on how to configure the router.
Question 1 Any of you using 5 fixed IP? I have a question on how Unifi assign fixed IPs to customers? Is it a block of /29 IPs of they assign only host IPs to customer? TM dynamically assigned the first static IP via PPPoE and am I suppose to use /32 for subsequent IPs? For Example: PPPoE IP: 202.188.12.129 I have no problem specify additional IP on Mikrotik router on PPP interface 202.188.12.130/32 202.188.12.131/32 202.188.12.132/32 202.188.12.133/32 202.188.12.134/32 202.188.12.135/32 Question 2 ![]() Currently I'm having this running setup running and port forwarding + static NAT works. But CheckPoint firewall requirement came down from the 'top' for so called "Secure" network. What I'm trying to achieve is as below: ![]() Right now I'm simulating the environment by plugging one PC with public IP address on eth2 but it didn't work. Is there a way Mikrotik setup can be done to achieve the 2nd diagram? eth2 - Public Interface (DMZ) eth3 - NATed network Any idea/setup config is very much appreciated!!! |

I've found the solution to setup 5 fixed IP as what I need. So please ignore the above question.

No need wifi password but need to key in a code (Starbucks) or key in some info.I think Starbucks and Coffeebean ones are using Mikrotik as the Hotspot controller. To do your own, start at the Mikrotik wiki. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Hotspot |

QUOTE(JinXXX @ Jun 13 2016, 08:55 PM) Basically TM routes a /29 to customer so in my case it's 202.188.123.128/29 with 6 hosts IP. the "5 Fixed IP" TM advertise because 1st IP will always be assigned to the PPPoE client which is the router. In our case, all 6 IPs are actually usable. 1 - Standard configuration http://www.mikrotik.com.my/setup-for-unifi/ 2 - You do not want everything to be NATed since there are 5 more usable IPs Create additional bridge: bridge-WAN bridge-LAN 3 - Configure Bridge Port I have ether2 assigned as public interface so the CheckPoint firewall will connect to ether2 w/ public IP. ether3/4/5 will be NATed to 202.188.123.129 IP (Or any of the additional IPs if it's assigned WAN interface). CODE # INTERFACE BRIDGE PRIORITY PATH-COST HORIZON 0 ether3-NAT bridge-LAN 0x80 10 none 3 ether2-Public bridge-WAN 0x80 10 none 4 - Now, depending on how do you want to assign the interface, this is my sample: CODE # NAME TYPE ACTUAL-MTU L2MTU MAX-L2MTU 0 R ether1-gateway ether 1500 1598 4074 1 S ether2-Public ether 1500 1598 4074 2 RS ether3-NAT ether 1500 1598 4074 3 S ether4 ether 1500 1598 4074 4 S ether5 ether 1500 1598 4074 5 - Configure IP Default bridge-LAN (preset according to the guide) assign the /29 network to bridge-WAN. Make sure the 1st IP is the PPPoE IP on the bridge. CODE 0 192.168.88.1/24 192.168.11.0 bridge-LAN 1 202.188.123.129/29 202.188.123.128 bridge-WAN 2 D 202.188.123.129/32 1.1.1.1 Unifi-Biz Now, you should be able to use Public IP on ether2. Just assign more ports to bridge-WAN if needed. Summary CODE |PPPoE Client - UniBiz (Assigned 1st IP) |--- Bridge-WAN |--- Assign IP (1st-IP/29) |--- Bridge Port (ether2) |--- Bridge-LAN |--- Assign IP (Local NATed network) |--- Bridge Port (ether3) - Master |--- Interface Port (ether4) - Slave -> Master(ether3) |--- Interface Port (ether5) - Slave -> Master(ether3) I *think* this is correct as it works. Hopefully it gives you some idea on how to configure the 5 fixed IPs. |
