QUOTE
RB750UP is a small five port ethernet router in a nice plastic case, the UP model includes a USB 2.0 port and PoE output. Ports 2-5 can power other PoE capable devices with the same voltage as applied to the unit. Less power adapters and cables to worry about. Max current is 500mA per port.

RAM is 32MB same with the previous RB750 modemsl...

lol looks like the newer RB750 series all of them still inferior to the RB750G. I guess I am happy to be one of the early bird buyer who manage to get my hands on RB750G
*
what makes you say that.. what about the 750GL ???

maybe cable unplugged, or turned it off without shutdown

cannot be.. i was sitting down looking at the winbox and i got router disconnected hahahah

so it cannot be the said problem that you mentioned...

on another matter.. anybody aware of this

CODE
I found another issue related to this, which I post here to save someone else some time one day.

Changing use-ip-firewall also affects NAT. I had set up my NAT rule to masquerade all traffic going onto the bridge. With use-ip-firewall=no, this worked correctly. Once I set use-ip-firewall=yes, the router also started NATting traffic crossing the bridge. I fixed it by creating a pre-routing rule that put a packet-mark on all frames coming from the LAN, then set the masquerade rule to only operate on frames with that packet-mark.

It now seems to work correctly - traffic from the WAN crosses the bridge untouched (but filtered according to the rules), and traffic to/from the LAN gets NATted.

Have u upgrade to version 5.11?
*
running on 5.12, with latest fw 2.38 apart from that i get these weird lags.. on the rb751,

dont have that on my rb750gl

not sure whats the cause... of it only difference there is a wifi module..

did the exact same cfg compared with my rb750gl but bad lag...

noticed another thing

on the rb751 i seem to have quite a high tx drop for unifi vlan500 , but on my rb750gl that has been bz pumping torrents away doesn't seem to have any drops at all..

not sure if its a hardware fault/software fault..

How do you check your VLAN 500 having TX drop?

Don't have this issue on my RB751U-2HnD, well maybe i switch it off when not use.
*
this is my 751 with the high drop rate...

*fyi click on interface*

Attached Image

and this is my 750 without any drop rate since i switch it back

Yes, I have 2 fiber connections at d same place.

D 1st 1 already using VLAN Tag 500, 2nd unifi uses 600 but firewall doesn't seem to b able to dial (pppoe)

Both use for different/separate traffic (controlled by firewall).

Just need to get d firewall to dial d 2nd unifi properly.

Y it couldn't do it ah? Some settings must b wrong here...

Added on February 3, 2012, 9:56 am

I'm not using it for LB. Coz 2nd unifi has no fixed ip....
*
unifi data/internet vlan is always working on vlan500...

your vlan 600 is a retag of vlan500 or what ?

vlan600 if not mistaken is for iptv... ONLY..

for it to work.. u need to retag the 2nd unifi vlan500 to maybe vlan 501 and attach your pppoe dailer to it..

then from there you fix your firewall/routing/queing to split traffic on vlan 500 and vlan 501

that is the best way to split/assign the traffic...

Yes, 2 unifis in 1 place. 1 dyn IP for surfing, 1 static for emailing. No load balance (firewall does tat).

The static is already working. Dynamic account was just installed.

IF try2 still kenot, i'll do 2 rb250gs routers for fault tolerant....

Added on February 3, 2012, 10:07 am

Sorry, vlan 600 is not a retag. Vlan '600' was setup SIMPLY to differentiate from 500.

Can firewall dials '501'?
*
so im guessing your trying to do this

unifi 1 & 2 >> rb250 >> firewall ?

why u need the rb250 ? what firewall are you using.. ?

you can actually plug directly from the fiberhome/vdsl modem to the firewall, create a dailer on vlan500 on the firewall itself , im guessing your firewall is doing the dailing...
