Still waiting for Saurik to update the Mobile Substrate. Apprently the semi-tethered is not so stable without this update.

i have problems upgrading to IOS 5 after downgraded to IOS4.3.5...
anyone here have that problem? Added on October 27, 2011, 12:18 amany issue on a downgraded IOS, like cannot upgrade to the version again? let say i upgraded to IOS5 then downgraded back to IOS4.3.5 then want to upgrade to IOS5 again, can i do that? It would be more helpful if you can state what problem do you face when you want to upgrade back to iOS5. Error code or something? Just saying in general that you have problem to upgrade seems like going to the Doc and say "hey I'm sick without" without telling the symptoms. p/s - you can go up or down the firmware version provided you saved the SHSH blobs. If not then you can only go to the highest version which is signed by Apple servers. |

Hi Frozzbyte ,
Upgraded to IOS 5 and downgrade back to 4.3.5 with shsh. Now when try to upgrade back to IOS 5 got error the firmware is not eligible for the this iPhone |

Hard rebooting? meaning pressing home and power button till it off and release the power button to reset? If that, yes, did that and now still the same. I don't have SHSH save cuz really don't know how to restore and re-jb the same version   |

does installing ipad baseband and deactivate WITHOUT cydia , makes the phone jailbroken . do i need to boot tethered if i install ipad baseband and deactivate only.

if u are talking about untethered jailbreak, then no ETA yet...
however, u may jailbreak iOS 5 with tethered or semi-tethered jailbreak if u can't wait... go Google semi-tethered jailbreak to understand more... |

Ever heard of FastRa1n? It claims that it can JB iOS5 and 4.3.5 fully untethered. Anyone tried that yet?

do not try any of the untethered iOS 5 out there yet... could be virus or trojan... only jb from group of community hackers that are trusted only...
this is advised by MuscleNerd and PosixNinja coz if there's any jb out there faster than them, they should know it first hand and let us know through their channel.... u may of course try, at ur own risk though... |
