Hi guys,

I'm currently on iPhone 4 version 4.3.3, officially unlocked in Australia. Would like to ask for suggestions whether I should jailbreak my phone to iOS 5 or should I just continue with 4.3.3. Is is stable enough to update it now?

Go ahead and upgrade and jailbreak.

Aiseh. Now my iPhone 4 I gave to my wife oledi. I'm using the 4s now so currently waiting for the jailbreak.

Is it right or wrong that apple is releasing iOS 5.1.0 soon and iOS 5.0.1 will be jailbreakable soon too..is it advisable for all to update their iOS to 5.0.1 before iOS 5.1.0 being release? Because after that iOS 5.0.1 will no longer be able to download from itune..

3gs user here. originally was 4.3.3 upgraded to 5.0.1 but found some cydia tweaking is not compatible so downgraded back to 4.3.3 but found the system files partition was almost full with some cydia files which were automatically installed when i jb from jailbreakme 3.0. when i try to install my preferable tweaking it auto delete some of the pre-install cydia file which jeopardise the launching of cydia. i've tried to restore & redowngrade again but still the system partition was full without installing anything yet.
anyone encounter this problem? how to free up the space in the system partition?

So after I upgrade to ios5 the phone is lock back?

Ohhh crap. Most likely it's a locked set and when you upgrade to iOS5.0.1, the baseband was upgraded and the set is now unlockable. Even Gevey will not be able to unlock the set because they have not come out with a compatible Gevey.

You will have to wait until a compatible Gevey is out.

jb for i4s is not really officially announced yet

There is no JB for the 4s as of now. pod2g and the dev team are still working on it.

The BB for 5.0 for the iPhone 4 are the same as the BB for 5.0.1 (IIANM). Both are running on 4.11.08 for 5.0 and 5.0.1

musclenerd tweet refers to iphone 4s user who wants to unlock. bb for iphone 4s ios 5 is 04.11.08 while ios 5.0.1 is 1.0.14. so he said iphone 4s who want unlock should stay on ios 5 which has bb 04.11.08

Whatever it is, 5.1 is coming really really soon. Modmyi is giving a 1-2 days timeline for the new firmware to drop .... sh!t, I need to update the last remaining iPad 2 I have from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 soon.

All my iPhones are already on 5.0.1 so we're good to go there.

if i saved my 4.3.3 SHSH and update to 5.0.1 can i still downgrade to 4.3.3 if anything ever goes wrong?

hello guys, i'm using iphone 3gs 32gb and on 5.0.1 untethered jb. i would like to reset all content and settings of my iphone but it seem it always stuck at the "loading part". is it normal to waiting hours for it reset? it still loading even after an hour!

any alternative way to reset content and settings? thank you very much guys...
