2) What is you modem firmware (baseband version)
3) Where did you buy the phone from? Maxis/Celcom/Digi? Is it a factory unlocked set?

Do not pay anything for an unlock. All jailbreaking and unlocking software are free. Anything else is a scam.

Guys. Is it easy to brick the phone through jailbreaking? Previously I'm a Samsung user and throughout my experience, flashing can hardly brick the phone. Just wondering if it's the same with the iPhone.

And by jailbreaking, can I change the wallpaper of the notification centre, siri(?) and folder? I know that jailbreak for the 4S is still unavailable.

I have an iphone 4 and a 3gs, but I'm giving 3gs to my friend to use.

But she still wants all the apps that i've downloaded. thus, I want to make a fresh restart for the 3gs but install all my apps in for her without my info but WITH her own itunes account.

both is on 5.0.1 and already jb. Anyone kind enough to guide me on this? thanks!

Added on January 14, 2012, 6:42 amLog in with your iTunes account, dl all the apps onto her phone, then sign out. You can't dl using her own account cuz the purchase is only entitled to your account

No problem, just follow these steps:

1. Backup your stuffs using iTunes. Preferably delete all your unimportant apps for speedy restore later.
2. Upgrade normally to iOS 5.0.1 using iTunes.
3. Use latest redsn0w (now is 0.9.10b3 I think), select "Jailbreak", put the phone in DFU, then at the option, make sure "Install Cydia" and "iPad baseband" is selected.
4. Restore your backup from iTunes.
5. Go to Cydia, wait for all the repo to load. Find ultrasn0w. If you can't find it, quit Cydia, find it again after a few minutes. Install ultrasn0w.

Locked phones from the US are not really that bad. You just need to find your ways around it. I can't understand why some people are so against them

That's because you're giving nonsense advice. iPhone 4 cannot install the iPad baseband. The iPad baseband can only be installed on the 3Gs bearing in mind that installing the iPad baseband will most likely killed your notification, GPS and all sorts of trouble.
