has anyone here jailbroken their iOS 5 with either tethered or semi tethered? izit stable?

icic.. cz i used to jb my ios 5 with the tethered one n it gt stuck at dfu mode.. since then not dare to jb my phone d..

Jus wan to ask. If I'm using iOS 4.3.3 now, so when the jb for ios 5 do came out, how can I update my phone to ios 5 first since once I click update in iTunes, it wil automatically update it to 5.0.1 (or newest iOS).

if i were to jb my ios 5 now, when the untethered jb is out, can i jus straight away upgrade to it? or do i need to restore my phone back to its unjb condition? cz if i were to restore it, it wud automatically update my firmware to 5.0.1 rite?

its not untethered.. its still tethered jb.. but its easier to jb now for iOS 5.0.1..

Yeap mine is 6.1. When I tap buy license in the bitesms app, it shows 9.99

anyone knows how to remove the Others in iTunes? mine is about 2.5gb

yeap jailbroken but i went on9 n search n its not jailbroken apps.. its usually contacts, emails n all but it also stores apps that weren't successfully installed into ur iphone. there was smtg wrong wit my iphone earlier on as im unable to update my apps in my iphone.. so i keep tryin to update n tats how the "others" section grew to 2.5gb >< i have restored my phone n its now 0.85gb

yeap can perform jailbreak but its tethered jb.. mine is running 5.0.1 and jailbroken using redsnow

does 5.0.1 support semi-tethered? haven tried mine.. haha..

thx man! i have installed the semi-tethered in my phone but have nt turn off my phone before.. haha.. jus occasional respring after cydia installation.. its reli stable for a tethered jb..

U still can use cydia and safari even after semi-tethered. It is only when u REBOOT ur iPhone tat u can't use it. It's better compared to tethered because if tethered, ur phone will stuck at apple logo when u reboot it.

So ya do install semi-tether

Anyone updated their Activator to the latest version ady? 1.60. Is there any complication wit iOS 5.0.1?

My activator's swipe from bottom gesture is not responsive after updating to 1.60 anyone facing the same problem?

Ya. Just hope he wil come up wit an update soon to fix all this bugs

Has anyone tried the new activator 1.6.1~beta1?

Cz the previous update 1.6.0 has a problem wit slide in gesture from the bottom. It doesn't work after a few mins even after respring. So for those who r stil on 1.5.8, do not update it to 1.6.1 until the bug is fixed

Izit cydia apps or AppStore? Mayb u can try uninstalling the apps u jus dled?

Do u have sbsettings installed? If yea, u can try going into safe mode and delete the apps u jus installed
