I moved those to the rear doors but bought a couple of nicer reflector-type door protectors to replace them for the front doors. rolleyes.gif

Try using iso-propyl alcohol (alcohol swaps) or WD40? Works in my case... wink.gif

Haha... anyway, if you change to iridium, please update us. Maybe wanna change to that too brows.gif

I read http://www.densoiridium.com/faq.php and this is a quote on performance.

QUOTE
Generally, you do not purchase spark plugs for performance enhancement. While DENSO Iridium Power spark plugs have contributed to numerous accomplishments through dyno-testing and actual use, their true benefit lies in their efficiency, durability, and improved firing power. Serious tuners modify their vehicles by increasing boost through turbo-chargers, super-chargers, and Nitrous. They are also known to add high-energy ignition systems, tinker with timing, adjust fuel mixture ratios, and increase horsepower through other means. Putting these kinds of demands on their engine increases the need for an efficient, durable spark plug that can handle these kind of harsh environments. That’s where DENSO Iridium Power can make a major difference.

QUOTE
THINGS THAT WORK (improving engine performance directly, even without the synergic effect from other modifications):
1. adjustable fuel regulator
2. lightened crank pulley
3. high lift and high overlapping angle camshaft
4. adjustable cam gear
5. tuned length exhaust header with suitable piping and muffler system
6. cold air intake
8. increase the compression ratio
9. advance the ignition timing
10. engine balancing and blue printing
11. head port & polish
12. ECU piggyback, stand alone, rechipping
13. engine re-bore, re-stroke and rebulit.

THINGS THAT WORKS WITH CONDITION (only work when at least some of the modifications in the first list was done):
1. ignition system upgrade
2. water/methanol injection
3. additional or bigger heat exchangers
4. thermo wrapping of the exhaust system

NICE THINSG TO HAVE (not neccessarily adding power but will help you in extracting more from the engine, or to prevent damages)
1. gauges
2. silicone radiator hoses
3. oil catch can
4. better clutch
5. ground cable
6. voltage stabilizer
7. magnetic oil sump bolt, magnetrap
8. powerbelt
9. aluminum fuel rail (for those with composite fuel rail)
10. high amperage alternator

THINSG THAT DO NOT WORK (or are too high in term of cost/performance value, or you can simply DIY):
1. microkompressor and MOST air leaking device
2. all sorts of magnet for the air and fuel, unless it`s for the
crankcase lubricant
3. all sorts of air swirling devices, active or passive, for the intake
track.
4. MOST fuel additives, octane booster, etc
5. Stickers.

And sure...me will update after conversion done. No worries. wink.gif

Background to this present thought: Previously stock plugs of ole ride replaced by Bosch Super 4 set. Only <RM50. Felt smoother idling, easier starting & smoother acceleration noticeable. BUT that ride oledi really OLD...whistling.gif

So spark plugs change comes under "Things that work with conditions"?
Well, BTW me am getting the plugs fr Drex lo... rclxm9.gif

Not expecting anything phenomenal... Juz improving ignition system so as to ensure smoother firing & mayb better combustion of fuel(?) nia. Cos the heart of an internal combustion engine is that important tiny SPARK which starts it & keeps it moving! True?

Next DIY mayb a local VS? Used 2hv one (Zaptor Gold...now called Evolve) fr HuaKenny lo.

So sudden? Any warning signs & symptoms before it happened? eg. peculiar behaviour of engine?

If car kenot start, dun keep on trying...gonna KO battery lo... sad.gif Always wait a few mins b4 each try AND dun keep on pumping on accelerator...
Old carb types, we hv to press accelerator fully down...dunno abt BLM/FL/FLX with run by wire accelerators tho. whistling.gif

If know how, chk for the usual...got sparks at plugs, petrol, etc.
Otherwise, if SC/mech nearby, mayb call for help? Good luck...

OFFICIALLY, service is due @5k Km or 3 mths whichever is EARLIER... whistling.gif

However, most who dun travel a lot wld wait for the Km to be 5k...there is risk that SCs might not honour the warranty tho... brows.gif brows.gif

YOUR decision... rolleyes.gif
